Welcome to the 2026 X Files Fashion Week, a fan celebration of the iconic fashion of The X Files, running Monday Oct 19th - Sunday Oct 25th!
General Rules
All experience levels are welcome!
Create something new for the event and have your focus be on the characters from The X Files.
Be respectful to creators and their work, if you don’t like something, scroll past it!
NO AI works will be allowed. This includes both partial and complete AI usage to make something.

Posting
Use the hashtag #2026xfilesfashionweek in the tags or tag this blog, @xfilesfashionweek in the body of the post to make sure we see it! Please try to post on the day of the prompt, but if it’s a little late, that’s okay! We’ll reblog it as soon as we can. The bonus prompt can be posted (and will be reblogged) any day of the week.
A special note on NSFW works: NSFW works are welcome! However, we will be tagging our reblogs for the following which are considered “Not Safe For Work”: sexual content, artistic nudity, blood and gore.
We’ll use both #NSFW and any additional tags that apply such as: #artistic nudity, #blood, #gore. If you’d like to filter out NSFW posts, please block these tags. On both desktop and mobile go to Account Settings > Content you see > Filtered Tags and add the hashtag.
We’ll also be tagging reblogs by season and character for better navigation of this blog, so that the works of X Files Fashion Week can continue to inspire even after the event has concluded!
Prompts
Each day will have two prompts to choose from, plus one bonus prompt for the entire week. You can choose one or both of the prompts, combine them, or skip the day entirely; answer as few or as many prompts as you’d like!
Prompts should be answered in one of the following formats: gifs, art, fanfiction, poetry/prose, meta/analysis, and cosplay*. You can include characters from other media too, but The X Files should be the focus of your works. Shipping is welcome!
*A special note on cosplay: you can create an outfit or piece of clothing entirely from scratch if you’d like, but styled outfits using existing pieces are also welcome!
