“Don’t be such a quitter”

I just read those words in a lot of blogs since yesterday because of the announces of a lot of artists telling that they’re not keeping their blogs because of the changes of rules and the shitty chaos that started with the crazy reports, and I say crazy because Tumblr is reporting SFW WORK. Not only the NSFW artist aren’t happy with those lazy and crappy decisions of the @staff, but even the common artist are getting tired and mad because of their common posts being flagged as sensitive or sexual (even if you literally posted a Spiderman sitting on a chair).

There’s something you MUST understand, both artists and followers. If someone that you admire decided to leave the page, you don’t have the right to call them a “quitter”. If you are their admirers or fans, you MUST understand that this is not a easy decision to take for a lot of them considering that tumblr used to be a big page to found everything, let them express as they want, and let their popularity increase based of their own tastes. They’re not “quitting” because they wished to do it. They’re closing their blogs here because they CANNOT allow to a crazy mod to totally fuck their work 24/7 (imagine to being flagged for even post a happy smile).

A friend of mine just got flagged almost all her sfw art (cute work btw) as sensitive, when it was literally fandom comics that almost entered in the “fluff” content. Work that was very innofensive in comparision with my last weird cookie works (if you know what I mean), and she decided to leave the page because that and more problems that tumblr had since a lot of time (if anyone can remember the hack issues...). Because of that, she was also called a “quitter” too. I think she, and all the rest of the artists, deserves some respect because of their decision. And also, if you pretend or think that, to make them stay, you must call them like that, you’re drownling in a weird, mental diarrhea...

They deserve your respect, and if you cannot give them respect nor support, then please don’t say anything, because you are not helping to their decision; you are just making it worse.
