Tired of all the Elmo propaganda.

Elmo does not hate ALL rocks. Elmo hates ROCCO, specifically, because the adults all treat Rocco like he is a living, breathing rock. So when Zoe intentionally does things like give Rocco the last cookie, the adults don't help. Instead they say:

"Well, gee, Elmo, I know you really wanted that cookie. But Zoe says Rocco wants it, and yes the cookie will go to waste because Rocco physically can't eat, but all we care about is Zoe's imaginary pet, so-"

Elmo knows that when Zoe brings that dumb rock out, she's about to treat him unfairly, or use it as leverage to have things her way. And he's not even allowed to be upset about it.

All this is to say:

Elmo would be totally chill with the Eridians. He'd even let Rocky have the last cookie, because Rocky would actually be able to eat and enjoy it.
