I have more of an opinion question for you. When fans of things hear about misconduct happening on sets/behind-the-scenes are they allowed to still enjoy the thing? Or should it be boycotted completely? Example: I’ve been a major fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer since I was a teenager and it was currently airing. I really nerded out on it and when I lost my Dad at age 16 “The Body” episode had me in such cathartic tears. Now we know about Joss Whedon. I haven’t rewatched a single episode since his behavior came to light. As a fan, do I respectfully have to just box that away? Is it disrespectful of the actors that went through it to knowingly keep watching?
I have been precisely where you are, right now. In fact, we were just talking about this a few days ago, as it relates to a guy who wrote a ton of music that was PROFOUND to me when I was a teenager. He wrote about being lonely and feeling unloved, and all the things I was feeling as a teenager.
He grew up to be a reprehensible bigot, and for years I couldn't listen to one of the most important bands in my life anymore.
But this week, someone pointed out that he was one member of a group that all worked together to make that thing that was so important to me. And the person he was when he wrote those lyrics is not the person he is today. And the person I was when I heard those lyrics doesn't deserve to be shoved into a box and put away, because that guy is a shit.
This is a long way of saying that Joss sure turned out to be garbage. Because of who I my friends are, I know stuff that isn't in the public, and it's pretty horrible. He's just not a good person, and apparently never was a good person.
BUT! Buffy is more than him. It's all the actors and crew who made it. It's all the writers who aren't Joss. Joss is part of it, sure, and some of the episodes he wrote are terrific.
At least one of the episodes he wrote was deeply meaningful to you at a moment in your life when you'd experienced a loss I can only imagine. The person you are now, and the 16 year-old you were who just lost their dad, are more important than the piece of shit Joss Whedon revealed himself to be.
His bad behavior is on him. He has to live with it, and the consequences of it.
16 year-old you, who just lost their dad, shouldn't have to think about what a shit Joss Whedon is for even a second. That kid, and you, deserve to have that place to revisit when you need to go there.
I can't speak for the other actors, even the ones I know. But I will tell you, as an abuse survivor myself who never wanted to be in front of the camera when he was a kid: it's really okay for you to enjoy the work. The work is good and meaningful, and if nobody is going to watch it because of what one piece of shit did two decades ago, what was it all for?
I'm not the pope of chilitown, so take this for what it's worth: I believe that when some piece of art is deeply meaningful to a person, for whatever reason, that art doesn't belong to the person who created it, if it ever did. It belongs to the person who found something meaningful in the art.
If it feels right to you to put it away and never look at it again, that's totally valid. But if it brings you comfort, or joy, or healing, or just warm familiarity to bring it out and spend some time with it, that's totally valid, too.
I've written a lot of words. I hope some of them make sense and are helpful to you.

endless list of DC ladies: Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress
"Every hero has a story, not that I'm some kind of hero. But there comes a point when to survive, the hunted must become the Huntress."
While there was never a legitimate reason for the ab window in her costume, Helena Bertinelli is probably overall my favorite DC character!
Her "Bite me" to the Joker during No Man's Land as she's near mortally wounded and he's pointing a gun at her head is the one scene in comics I will never forget.

I love them! They are beautiful! :3
Some lesbians from DC Comics:
Katherine Rebecca Kane (Batwoman);
Scandal Savage (Scandal Savage);
Renee Maria Montoya (The Question);
Salu Digby (Shrinking Violet);
Sarah Rainmaker (Sarah Rainmaker);
Holly Robinson (Holly “Go-Nightly” Robinson);
GOOD CHARACTERS TOO, it should be noted. :)
I'd add Grace Choi and Anissa Pierce from the Outsiders, and Kate's fiance Maggie Sawyer....
When I met Merida in Disney world this Christmas, I was a wreck. I managed to work myself up into an anxiety attack before I even got into the garden. I made it through meeting her and talking to her without crying but as I grabbed my bag to leave I burst into tears, she said “no come back” and gave me a huge hug, here she was telling me to be brave. All I could think about is how I’m not brave and that she wouldn’t even talk to me if she knew what kind of person I really was. I couldn’t say any of that so I just nodded. I came back the next day and several times after during my trip to Disney. Never, in my entire life have I met someone who had such an instant effect on my life. There had been a date in my mind for several months before I met Merida. It was the 19th of January 2014 and that was the day I planned to commit suicide. Miraculously enough, I’m still here. Thanks to Merida’s kindness and her insisting that I am brave, I’m still here. I am rather far off being brave, but I’m alive and that’s what counts.
This and countless other reasons is why Disney is so important to people who are not “children”. Its awful how many times I have heard stories of guests complaining about the about of people who visit the parks who are not there just cause they have kids to take.
People thrive in fantasy worlds to help them escape the real life hardships. And when we come to the parks, we wanna see special experiences like this, not you and your family screaming at a Cast Member because something didn’t go your way. Every person who passes through a character line or an attraction line is important. Just because you are not under the age of 12 does not mean you don’t love and need a character any less.
Disney characters are like avatars for the people who seek them out. We know that they’re actors in costumes, and that doesn’t matter: we’re meeting our childhood friends, the people who told us we could be strong, and brave, and endure. There’s a reason that so many of us seek the Parks when our hearts are breaking.
This is that reason.
I confess I am super-intimidated by the face characters. My shy side just explodes and I don’t know what to say or how to act, so I’m content to just watch them. But they are amazing people who don’t just swish skirts and pose prettily. The stories are numerous, these people and the beloved characters they play change lives.
This is one of the many reasons why I love working for this company even if it’s not in a role I wanted/should have been placed in…
this is all very important. very, very important. i love this company and the magic it creates for people of all ages.
This is one of the reasons I love cosplaying Xena. I’ve had people come up to me crying. They tell me that Xena saved their life. We hug and they tell me their story. Things they have always wanted to say to Xena. It’s a cathartic experience for them and a touching one for me.

Harley Quinn and Ivy Go Canon in the new 52?
Harley Quinn certainly has been considered part of queer pairing with Poison Ivy by most fans based on the animated version of the character and some moments like this from Gotham City Sirens.
In the semi-annual couple’s tournaments I’ve held Harley/Ivy is much more popular couple than Joker/Ivy.
But in the new 52 Ivy was off in Birds of Prey while Harley joined the Suicide Squad. But now with her own book, the two have been reunited and the innuendo moves into canon category.
So if you haven’t read this realize there is material from today’s comic below.
