If you wanna be really real. The reason R. Kelly has survived this long, and the reason a relatively few number of celebrities have spoken out against him, is because the industry is fucking rotten to the core. I think R. Kelly is one of the most interesting stories in pop culture in the last 50 years.

A pioneer in his field, an amazingly talented but illiterate man, a man that has a song played at most school graduations, in church, and in the club all at the same fucking time.

And get this, that person is a fucking pedophile that everyone KNOWS is a pedophile and he’s gotten away with it for years. And this isn’t 60 years ago… This is NOW in the age of social media.

A Hollywood script writer couldn’t come up with something more unbelievable.

I’m fascinated by the last 30 years of this niggas existence.

Detroit, KC and the Bay have always had similar styles, even so far (KC) as accents; Idk the anthropology, but that’s why Mac Dre would even know a Fat Tone to have beef. MC Breed (Flint) was rapping on G-Funk in 92. Street Lordz had B-Legit features in the late 90s using the same flow Tee Grizzly, Payroll Giovanni, etc. use today. They’re obv. twins but the Detroit sound is slightly different & its own thing. The Bay scene’s bigger so gets due credit but it’s not as simple as follow the leader.

All you’ve really done in this message is illustrate that people in the midwest have always loved California music. It does show how The Bay sound bled into Detroit rap, but it does nothing to give evidence to the notion that Detroit didn’t get their rap sound from the Bay.
