Agate Village? That was in Orre though. That couldnât⌠How was he in Orre? Would he get in trouble with Cipher? Would this get Laven killed?
Did this give him a chance to rescue Laven?
Best not to risk it.
He shook his head before responding. | This might sound weird, but I donât remember coming to Orre. I remember last being in Hoenn. |
/The shock that came over the stranger crawl up Wes' spine in shivers. A random person, whisked away to another region against one's knowledge? Sounded like a Hypno or a teleport attack. Maybe that was why he was not comfortable around his Hikari, however the Espeon would not be one who would do something like that.Â
"I see... Are you okay? If you need I can drive you to Gateon Port."
"Thatâs an awful shame. I love reading! Iâm always sitting around with a book or two - my mom always used to tell me that Iâd wreck my eyesight with how my nose was always stuffed in between the pages, but I couldnât stop."
He laughed softly, nudging his glasses a bit higher up his nose again. He still wasnât sure if reading too often could really damage eyesight, but in the end heâd still ended up with glasses. Oh, well. It wasnât like it was too much of a problem for him anyway. Glasses hardly got in the way of anything.
"No, no, I do! Just because they didnât threaten me directly doesnât mean I shouldnât be grateful. The less crime in the world, the better. Less fighting, more peace. It helps everyone."
"They sound like amazing books then. What was your favourite book?" Wes could not help a smile, books were not exactly big in The Under. Surviving was a more respected pass-time.Â
Taking another sip of cocoa Wes continued to smile. The idea of a small, young Capuchine curled up with a pile of books was quite adorable. Probably it was true, seeing how much love was in his words when speaking about books.Â
"Yeah, there were some terrifying plots going on. What was this Team Plasma like? I assume their goal was not turning pokemon dark, or expanding land masses or the ocean."Â
"Why are maps so terribly written?"
/Wes pondered this to himself, trying to figure out which region he was it. Maybe then he could figure out where he was.Â
He visibly relaxed once the eeveelution was out of sight, having no reason to fear what was safe in its pokeball. Chuka approached the Umbreon as Red began writing, sniffing at the dark type before offering a paw with a friendly cry.
| Could you maybe tell me where I am? Iâm a bit lost. |
/Wes moved the pokeball out of sight and to safety, years in Orre had the odd affect of not being sure is someone might steal your pokemon. Irony, of course. Yami watched the pikachu approach, sniffing back happily and accepting the paw with his own.Â
"A field near Agate Village."
/He twisted, pointing off into the distant- across the water- to the distant mount against the beautiful and calm landscape.

(( Hey everyone!! Thank you for the replies to my threads! I keep getting so exited because people want to roleplay with me!Â
I do have a problem, and that is that today I have had absolutely terrible internet connection, and I have already lost a reply from it- because I was stupid and didn't notice I had lost connection- so I can't reply tonight. I am kind of hoping that this posts, actually.Â
So I am hoping my internet is better tomorrow!! Then I will reply!!! ))
Capuchine cooed softly, trying to think of how best to answer Wesâ question. âWell, there are plenty of books! Itâs only one floor, so itâs not as big a selection as a library, but⌠Theyâre mostly novels. Weâve got all the classics at least, I can tell you that much.â
The cup in his hands had been thoroughly cleaned. He set it down and moved on to the next one, whistling a bit. âIâve never met a big hero before! Your hot chocolates are on the house. Take it as a thank you for crime-stopping.â
"Novels? I have not read a novel in a long time..." Wes paused again, it had been much too long since he had read a novel. Books, even beautiful worn soft covers the bended and slipped into spaces easily, were often an expense that biking all around the many regions had to replace. Were usually a book could lay, one could instead stuff a few more pokeballs, a bit more soap, or even extra food and water. In a desert nothing could go to waste.Â
"Really? You do not have to do that. You probably had nothing to worry about with shadow pokemon. But thank you, Capuchine." He took another happy sip, both of his pokemon having finished their treats.
Red eyed the Espeon warily, keeping his distance. His hands twitched in preparation to sign, only to lower as he dug into his bag. Best to stick to writing. Sign language wasnât very common.
| Sorry, Iâm not exactly comfortable with psychic types. Bad experience. |
/He wasn't expecting to see, in writing, that someone did not like his Espeon. It was actually a shock, since many saw Hikari as a good omen, but without vocal complaint he returned his pokemon to its pokeball.Â
"Sorry."Â
/Wes stood up, brushing his clothes off with a gentle hand.Â
"You fought against them? So youâre like - like a hero or something?" Capuchineâs eyes went wide behind his huge glasses in surprise. To think, he was serving someone brave enough to go toe to toe with dangerous criminals - as much has heâd always wanted to battle or fight crime, he was far too cowardly to ever⌠Well, do anything. The closest heâd ever come to battling was over a robbery of his coffee beans, though he only ended up cooing himself into a fit while Cheryl bound to the rescue.
Oh, well. Some things were just never meant to be.
He could at least offer him food. The man smiled and leant back against the wall, picking up a towel and an empty cup to wipe it down. âNo need to thank me! Itâs easy for me to get them. The Cherrim is a personal friend of mine - I would introduce you but Iâm afraid heâs out of town participating in a contest right now. He usually likes to hang around upstairs because of all the sun the big windows let in by the books. Just tell me if thereâs anything else you need.â
"Yeah, someone had to." Wes went silent, opening his mouth only to sip at the hot chocolate and treat himself to some of the tart. It had been big, at the time. Travelling around Orre, defeating grunts and taking part of the Colosseum battles.Â
"Really? I am still getting used to contests and such. What kind of books do you have?"
He was lost, there was no doubt about it. Red wasnât even sure how it had happened. One minute he was walking down the streets of Cerulean, the next he was⌠here.
His Pikachu shifted on his shoulder before hopping off, a curious twitch of his ear alerting Red that they were not alone. He glanced around, freezing up with fear the second his eyes fell on the Espeon.
No, please shoo, donât hurt me, pleaseâŚ
/Hikari took a couple of steps towards the stranger, curiosity taking hold of the rash Espeon with questions of who the stranger was and was the pikachu friendly. But with a short, quiet whistle from Wes, the pokemon came bounding over to lay on his trainer's lap for pets.Â
/Wes was more concerned with the fact that the stranger had frozen the instant he saw his psychic pokemon. It wasn't like he wanted to the stranger to be uncomfortable.Â
"Ooph. Really? Well⌠There can be some pretty amazing beauty in places like deserts, so Iâm sure its citizens might just be a bit modest. Crime is a pretty big issue to tackle, though. Iâm from Unova myself - we had problems with Team Plasma in the past, but Iâm lucky I was never directly affected by any of that."
The chocolate was beginning to liquefy. Capuchine moved to heat the milk before stepping back over to the pastries, drawing out three fruit tarts. He placed them onto three separate plates before placing a couple of Cherylâs berries beside each of them, placing them on the counter. Three Pidove-styled mugs were filled with hot milk before the vanilla went in, presented with three sticks of cinnamon for stirring. The barista stepped out from behind the counter, dusting off the stools to make sure they were clean before stepping back behind with a smile. âThere you go! Hot chocolates and fruit tarts for the three of you. The berries are from a Cherrim - theyâre sweet and full of nutrients, so I hope you like them.â
"Well, there was. There was this giant forest, with the Guardian of the Forest there to help purify hearts. It is a magical place."Â
/Wes walked quietly behind his Espeon, trying to see what had intrigued him so thoroughly. It was hard to tell, maybe the design or a specific chair in the shop. Whatever it was, it was probably beautiful and well places.Â
"I have never met Team Plasma, but I did do a great deal fighting against Cipher and Team Snagem. It was a scary time, when they could catch one's pokemon and take them."Â
/The smell of the hot cocoa lulled him back over, with an excited Umbreon sniffing at the tart but using his manners to wait for everyone else to be seated. When all three of them took their seats, with much grumbling from a distracted espeon, Yami was quick to start chewing the food.Â
"A cherrim? Thank you for such wonderful treats!"Â
( I am running to bed for the night! I will reply to everything in the morning!! )
"Thank you! Thatâs really kind of you to say - this shopâs my pride and joy, so Iâm really glad you like it."
What a way to get his spirits soaring. The Pidove was positively chipper, grinning while he turned around to work on the hot chocolate. A stick of cinnamon, a bittersweet dark chocolate, vanilla bean - he set the chocolate to melt while he turned to open the back glass panel of the display case, looking over the pastries. âWhich pastry would you like? Thereâs no need to worry about your friends, either. I assure you, everything in this cafe is definitely suitable for Pokemon to eat. Nameâs Capuchine, by the way! Iâve never been to Orre. How is it there?â
"Well, Orre isn't exactly a tourist attraction. Almost entirely desert, filled with plenty of crime."Â
/Wes watched as Hikari bounced away to explore the beautiful cafe, he was quite impressed after all- and an Espeon of his grace was quite hard to please. But Wes more more distracted by the delicious smell of melting chocolate and cakes, with his Umbreon by his side in perfect agreement.Â
"Pleasure to meet you Capuchine! I am sure to tell people of your cafe here. How long have you been here? Oh, something sweet... I have not had the privilege of many sweets."Â
/With his Umbreon and Espeon beside him, Wes had taken to sitting down and just enjoying the feeling of soft grass underneath. A lot more pleasant than the usual desert, the blistering sand and whipping wind. Hikari was bouncing about, lifting flowers with his powers and just being a bubbly espeon, while his brother Yami was curled at Wes' side. However, the espeon stopped, listening. Sounded like there was a stranger wandering about.
