Babadook is actually Australian for āthis is clearly a film about a gay personā
um you are all wrong. The Babadook is a personification of the motherās own repressed homosexuality and her internalized homophobia, and he represents her own reluctance to admit that her marriage and kid were in service of an attempt to fix herself.
