A movie about a gay man who just wants to live his life in a small australian suburb? It may be “just a movie” to you but to the LGBT community the Babadook is a symbol of our journey
Babadook is actually Australian for “this is clearly a film about a gay person”
um you are all wrong. The Babadook is a personification of the mother’s own repressed homosexuality and her internalized homophobia, and he represents her own reluctance to admit that her marriage and kid were in service of an attempt to fix herself.
You know you’re mostly right but then how do you explain the scene where the Babadook looks right at the camera and says “I am my own person and I love men”?

But at least two members of the New England Patriots are turning down the invitation this year because of Trump.
“I’m not going to the White House,” the Patriots’ Devin McCourty told Time in a text message Monday. “Basic reason for me is I don’t feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won’t.”
