Wes felt a bit odd, just showing up out of the blue, but the fact was that he knew she probably needed someone to just stop by. In fact, he knew that she might even turn down his attempt to visit her if he tried to warn her beforehand, but he pushed all of that to the back of his mind as he finally reached for the doorbell, pressing it once. He almost instantly hit himself for his stupidity-- what if it woke up the baby? But before he could even think any longer, he heard small footsteps approaching the door.
after reuniting with wes at the festival, the two had kept in touch and as soon as their schedules allowed, she was invited over to wes’ place by him which got her both nervous and excited. standing at his door now, clary checked out and made sure her outfit was properly in place one last time before knocking on the door, the wait playing with her nerves even more. when she heard the footsteps coming closer she took a deep breath, a smile appearing on her face when the door was opened. ‘ hey. ’
Sure, he had said that he was going to clean up the house before today, but that surely didn’t happen. Procrastination happened, so just moments before she arrived, he had been sprinting around the house attempting to clean up and make it as if he kept the place a lot nicer than he normally did. He was almost out of breath as he finally made it to the door, pushing his hair back off of his forehead before opening the door. “Hi-- hey,” he stumbled out as he got a good look at her, stepping out of the way as if to invite her into the house.

i need all of the plots, so feel free to give this a like and i’ll come to you.
Hey guys, I’m CJ (and i was here before for a hot minute, but i’m glad to be back) Glad to be here with y’all! Just a few things about Wes:
He grew up in Alabama, just a short drive from Frostford. He had a rather normal life until he turned 11. A car accident he was in with his parents left him not only with scars all over his body, but left him parentless.
It had been a drunk driver who had hit their car, so people acting stupid while drunk isn’t something that he has a tolerance for, often a short fuse in those situations.
He was lucky enough to be adopted at 12 by the Rosens, who although he was reluctant to warm up to, he really did end up loving his new parents.
He wanted to explore for a while during college so he decided to go to college in Texas, but ended up coming back to Alabama to be closer to his family again.
Now he’s an art teacher at the Frostford HS.
He’s struggled to maintain long-lasting romantic relationships, but he’s determined to put in more effort than he has because he knows that he should and at this point, he really feel like its time.
Popping in her earbuds, Nico pressed play on her playlist and started off running down the sidewalk. Maybe it was in her blood by now thanks to all those years living on military bases, but she also found herself feeling the need to get at least a few miles in a day. With Journey streaming through her ears, she was so wrapped up in her own little world that she nearly ran into someone walking. Quickly skipping to steps over, she ran into a wall of a building, scraping her shoulder on the rough surface. “Damn it,” She groaned, placing her hand on her slightly bloody shoulder as she looked up at the person. “I didn’t hit you did I?” @frostfordstart
Wes had been so preoccupied with his phone that he too hadn’t even noticed that he was going to collide with the running girl. He looked up just moments before their inevitable collision, attempting to step out of the way, but failing as he watched her collide with the wall. “Don’t even worry about me.. I should have been paying attention,” he replied almost instantly, glancing over at her hand that was placed on her shoulder. “The real question is are you alright?”
‘ i wasn’t one to judge, don’t you remember how i used to look like ? ’ she wanted to facepalm at the image of her teen self in her head; with her messy red curls, freckles and her clothes always ruffled since she spent most of her days at tommy’s farm, riding horses. the nostalgia also brought warmth, those were the days of her life. ‘ of course not. ’ she joked with a wave of her hand, trying to keep a serious face but failing as a grin appeared on her face. ‘ for real, though, it’s so good to be back … ’
“Right, right,” he said with a nod of his head, going along with their joke, although it was clear that the opposite was true. It was moments like this that made him wish he had kept more in touch with her over the years, but time has a weird way of pushing people away from each other. It was this very moment that reminded him that he wouldn’t let it happen again. “Believe me, I know what you mean,” he agreed, gesturing towards one of the many food vendors as an invitation for her to choose one. “I thought I wanted to get out of here and explore the world, but as soon as college was done I was dying to get back here,” he said honestly, though he tried to hide it with a quiet chuckle.
“Ten years is a long frickin’ time.. but maybe moving up to teach art at the University rather than the High School.. Maybe other things like a relationship or a dog..”
as soon as he turned around, clary could almost swear that she felt exactly like when they were just teens, a pleasant warmth spreading through her chest. surely he had changed a lot, he was so much more grown up now but she could never mistake that sincere gaze looking back at her now. she looked down for a moment, the compliment taking her by surprise. ‘ oh – thank you. ’ she said, looking back at him again as a smile appeared on her face again. ‘ you look good, too - i mean you always did, but … ’ a soft, nervous chuckle slipping past her lips, she lifted let out a breath. ‘ it’s really been so long … missed me ? ’
His eyebrow raised at her peculiar statement, though he felt heat rise to his cheeks at her words. “Always, huh?” He asked, chuckling quietly. “Even with the braces? That was quite a... dramatic look,” he teased. He felt his shoulders and body begin to relax, though he hadn’t even realized that he had tensed up. This was a girl that he considered himself to have known very well, but then again that was years ago. Time changes everything. “Pfffft, nah,” he said in response to her question, along with a simple shake of his head. “But you definitely missed me, huh?”
Leaning forward so she could look at his mustache, she let out a soft giggle. “Okay I am not gonna lie, it does remind me of his. But it’s a good thing that Mr. Clarke is a hottie” she shrugged, leaning back again. “Oh he is the best teacher, for sure. I wish I had him when I was a kid”
“Are you saying I should keep it? Or, do I shave it off and lose the Mr. Clarke vibes?” he asked with a grin.
after agreeing to meet up via text, clary got ready as quickly as possible, but even then she admittedly took her time – after all, it’d be the first time she saw him in what felt like forever. making her way around the festival as she watched the people enjoy the last night of it, her gaze was searching for only one person and as soon as she spotted him among the crowd, a smile appeared on her face. approaching him from behind, she gently tapped on his shoulder, smile widening in anticipation. ‘ hey. ’
He hadn’t been at the fair long, but long enough to run into a handful of his students. His hands were stuffed into the front pockets of his pants as he watched the very intense round of this balloon popping game that was occurring at the booth near him. It had managed to gather a small crowd as the person playing hadn’t missed a shot in 10 rounds. Wes felt the tap on his shoulder, thinking for a moment that it was another student of his, but as he turned around and faced the girl with bright red hair, he instantly knew who it was. “H- hey,” he literally stumbled out with a quiet chuckle as a smile spread across his lips. “Wow, you’re.. you look great,” he said quietly rocking back on his heels for a moment as he tried to even remember the way she had looked when they were teens.
