There’s an illness that makes us kill people while we sleep, ghosts aren’t that far fetched. Our group? Incompetent? Never. If it is ghosts, you and Ada would have to go into ghostbuster mode.
Somehow, ghosts still seem a lot less likely. Well hey, it's probably only a matter of time 'til we're all ghosts, too, so we'll get to find out just how real they are.

As she watched him struggle to get comfortable on the cave floor, there was a shadow of a smile on Eden’s lips. Personally, she liked the hardness of the stone she sat on; it was sturdy and unfaltering, and the coldness that the stone wall held felt better than nothing. His next question took her by surprise — Was Zak Savani playing therapist? Unsure how to respond, she spend another moment or two in silence, pulling her knees closer to her chest. She winced when part of the wall started digging into her back, but she was too drained to move. “I just… I loved this group so much, you know? I loved everyone who had any part in it, and I loved what it stood for, and I wanted to help more than anything. But now it’s torn apart, and what if that’s partially my fault? Like, if I never found the group, would this have happened?” She took a deep breath to stop herself from getting any more emotional. Even though he asked, she knew he still didn’t want to hear the full story; he didn’t want to hear her anxiety over her sister or her ramblings about how other people are perceiving her. So she stuck to things she at least knew he could relate to. “It might be too early to worry about this, but I have no idea where to go now. It just feels like this group is turning into more of a curse than a home.” For the first time since he sat down, Eden shifted her gaze to Zak. Her eyes roamed his face, and she realized she’d always prefer being around people to being alone — No matter how shitty their treatment might be. Stretching out her legs again, she shifted to lean into her friend ever-so-slightly. “Sorry.” She filled the silence with an apology for no good reason.
Pretty quickly after Eden started talking, Zak sort of regretted asking her to in the first place. It wasn't that he lacked the ability to care about her, because he did -- or as much as Zak Savani could care about someone -- but he wasn't sure how he was supposed to respond. He wasn't the comforting type, he didn't know all the right words to say, he didn't even know how to throw an arm around someone's shoulders without the contact making him feel awkward. "If you hadn't found them, they would've been fucked a whole lot sooner than this, so... At least you prolonged their life for a little longer than it should've been." He didn't lean into Eden when she moved closer, but he didn't stray away either. Instead, he turned his head toward her, blinking once when their eyes met, and then he shrugged. "Why are you apologizing? I asked if you wanted to talk about it, didn't I?" He looked down at the flashlight in his hands and wondered if he was making Eden feel uncomfortable. It only occurred to him then how rude he was being, infringing on her space when she might have just wanted some alone time. "Like, I'm not going to lie to you, Eden, this situation sucks a little bit. You need to stop beating yourself the fuck up over it, though. We'll find a way out of here and then find somewhere else to stay. So yeah, it sucks, but until then, at least we're somewhere safe and we won't lose any more people. I wouldn't call it a curse."
