Sitting at a table in the courtyard, Charlie was tearing apart pages, piling some to the side as she put others together. Pushing her hair out of her face, she licked her lips as she concentrated on the work she was doing. She felt a presence watching over her, and without looking up, she called them out, “There’s two things you can do, sit and ask what I’m doing, or mind your business and walk away, but stalking silently isn’t one of them.”
“why are you so weird,” he asked her sitting down. “is that an act of aggression or you just like ripping papers up or whatever,’ he said.
