What do you mean “her”? What about me? In the framework you were my whole world, but Jemma is— NO!
Today in Middle-Earth: The dwarves surrender when surrounded by Elves, but Bilbo uses the ring and disappears (August 23rd, 2941 T.A.)
Such day as there ever was in the forest was fading once more into the blackness of night, when suddenly out sprang the light of many torches all round them, like hundreds of red stars. Out leaped Wood-elves with their bows and spears and called the dwarves to halt.
There was no thought of a fight. Even if the dwarves had not been in such a state that they were actually glad to be captured, their small knives, the only weapons they had, would have been of no use against the arrows of the elves that could hit a bird’s eye in the dark.
My hopeless romantic says yes but my independent woman says no

AN ACTUAL GOOD SUPPORTING MAN
EAT SHIT ROSS
I think back to all the men in the media who undermined their girlfriends’ or wives’ careers out of their own insecurities. And how many times the woman was framed in the wrong for objecting to this behavior. (Riley from BtVS comes to mind right now, for a start.)
I want more relationships like this one in the media. More where the man is supportive and happy for his partner, rather than insecure and jealous.
More actually healthy relationships, rather than unhealthy ones masquerading as healthy.
“Nice sword. Very nice dagger.“

“If I seem too passionate, it’s because I care. If I come on strong, it’s because I feel strongly. And if I push too hard, it’s because things aren’t moving fast enough.”
I’m a Catholic whore, currently enjoying congress out of wedlock with my black Jewish boyfriend who works at a military abortion clinic. So, hail Satan, and have a lovely afternoon, madam.
MBTI Types: Summary
Here’s to the mess we make.
jake and amy’s relationship is one of the best heterosexual relationships i’ve come across in a while because:
it’s an interracial relationship between an ashkenazi jewish man and a latina (specifically cuban) woman
it’s genuinely loving, healthy, and dorky
they support each other and they make each other better. their relationship adds to their happiness instead of taking away from it
they always communicate and resolve conflicts maturely
they retain their independence, personalities, goals, and ambitions while still sharing each other’s hobbies and ideas and enjoying each other’s favorite activities
they don’t let their relationship get in the way of their career, goals, or obligations
they have their own lives outside of their relationship and we actually get to see them navigate the lines between a professional and romantic relationship
unlike most het ships, amy’s autonomy and personality aren’t reduced to jake. she isn’t jake’s love interest - she’s a main character of her own and her relationship with jake is just one part of her storyline and character
unlike most het ships, jake doesn’t bemoan being in a committed relationship. he loves amy wholeheartedly and is willing to do anything for her, and his friends actually support him instead of mocking him for that
they were friends before anything else. which means that they actually have fun. there’s nothing toxic or unhealthy about their relationship because it isn’t mired in heteronormative, misogynistic stereotypes. that is, they have a realistic and authentic dynamic because it isn’t all about ~ooh passion and melancholy and angst~. they’re cute and fluffy and it’s always presented as a good thing
That’s it
That’s the show
“Now when people think of the Nine-Nine they’ll think of, oh, Detective Diaz filling an iron with tequila.”
“So I could make tequila steam.”
