He’s easy to be around, all soft smiles and quiet humor, but there’s more beneath the surface. Moth hides the parts of himself he thinks might be too much, burying his own worries beneath his warmth. Maybe it’s easier to care for everyone else than to let someone truly care for him.

They've been told many times over how exhausting they can be and how they need to get serious. Their personality leaves outsiders underestimating them, so much so that they don't realize how much of a genius Dani really is. Who says you can't balance a life of studying and partying?

River is the barista at The Nook and you can often hear their name mumbled throughout the halls of Westview University. Rumor has it this and that. They're a player, a jerk, a flirt, a bully, a degenerate… the rumors are neverending. When you met River last year they were really sweet to you.
Then the rumors started spreading further and before you knew it they were backing away. Keeping to themself, staying closed in. The rumors only grew but River never seemed to care. Just brushed them off, never confirmed nor denied anything. They didn't care about the attention it brought them, positive or negative.
Will you break down those walls River's built up so strongly?

she lovesss it !!! huge halloween fanatic and she loves dressing up every year, going to haunted houses, all things horror, etc. she definitely loves the fact that her birthday is on halloween.
So MC did only have 1 friend in their first year? Are they shy/introverted/reclusive?
ahh i didn’t realize i never really answered that part of the ask but mc does have other friends from year one !! they’ll definitely be talked about soon. there are also other characters mc can meet and become friends with throughout the story. and MC can be shy and introverted but that’s completely up to the player ! it’s not something that’s set in stone, it’s decided by player choice.
THE GLUE. Tatum’s the kind of person who holds everything and everyone together. Being one of your dorm mates, she’s the backbone of the group, the one who notices when the dorm feels off and somehow knows exactly how to fix it (and she won’t stop until she does fix it). She’ll roll her eyes while handing you her flannel when you’re cold, or show up with your favorite snack after a rough day and pretend it’s no big deal. For someone who keeps people close, though, there’s a part of her no one really knows. A softness she hasn’t let anyone see in a long time.
PERSONALITY. Tatum seems a little gruff on the outside but she’s really soft on the inside. She’s the peacekeeper, the protector, the one who swears she doesn’t care as much as she clearly does. There’s a quiet warmth to her. The kind that comes from loving hard and losing harder, but she never lets it show for long. She laughs easily, loves fiercely, and has a bad habit of pretending she’s fine just to keep everyone else from worrying. When she lets her guard down, though, it’s like watching a storm finally clear into a warm steady breeze.
APPEARANCE. About 5'7" with messy, shoulder-length brown curls and green eyes. Freckles cover her nose and cheeks, a small slit through her right eyebrow where a piercing sits. Her style is slightly disheveled; flannel shirts, ripped jeans, boots & converse, black nail polish half chipped away, eyeliner smudged on her eyes. Her skin is littered with tattoos. There’s always a guitar pick necklace around her neck.
So I’m gonna take a guess that Moth got his nickname because due to his hair being fluffy Like a moth?
he actually gets it from his first name ! Ti(moth)y. You get to learn a bit more about how he actually got the nickname in the story but that’s where it comes from !!
THE HEART. Moth is one of your dorm mates, and one of the easiest people to feel comfortable around. Between his chaotic streaming schedule, classes, and his best friend Tatum, it’s a wonder he even remembers to sleep. He’s warm and easygoing, the type to listen without judgment and always notice when something’s off. You might catch him fiddling with his camera between streams or talking about something that made him smile at 3 a.m. He’s not loud about his affection, but it’s there in the way he looks out for everyone else, sometimes to his own detriment.
PERSONALITY. Moth’s a mix of awkward charm and quiet sincerity. He’s the friend who sends memes late at night but means every word when he asks how you’re feeling.He’s soft-spoken but funny in an offbeat, loser-ish way that somehow makes him even more endearing. Underneath his warm demeanor, though, he hides his insecurities, parts of himself he’s convinced are “too much.” He cares deeply, even when he doesn’t quite know how to show it.
APPEARANCE. Messy, fluffy black hair that always looks like he’s just rolled out of bed. Sleepy brown eyes that hint at too many late-night streams and not enough rest as well as his dark framed glasses. His style is casual and cozy; oversized hoodies, t-shirts, worn jeans, and is usual pair of headphones slung around his neck. His camera is always on him or at least near him. He’s got that quiet, gentle kind of presence that somehow makes a crowded room feel a little calmer.

yes of course !! so i’m still gonna be posting character descriptions for each character giving a little insight on the ROs but for now I put together a quick little reference post for them. i also included faceclaims but !!! take them with a grain of salt. they aren’t like set in stone or anything of the sort and they aren’t exactly how i imagine the characters, they’re just a little close to the vibe of the characters i guess? so you’re definitely not required to imagine them like that, they’re just there to give you a sort of vibe for each character. anyways, here you go !
Tatum "Tate" Reed
Tatum is about 5' 7", has around shoulder-length curly messy brown hair, green eyes, freckles, and full lips. On occasion she adds a slit to her right eyebrow. She has an eyebrow piercing on the same eyebrow along with an industrial piercing, three lobes and a tragus piercing on her left ear and a double helix, daith, three lobes, & a rook piercing on her right ear. She has a few random tattoos including a couple finger ones, symmetrical stars on her hips, some song lryics, a moth on her shoulder blade for Moth, and a couple she keeps hidden. She often has her nails painted black, loves the slept-in eyeliner look, and is always wearing her guitar pick necklace and flannel. For face claims I wanna say Tatum would probably resemble a mix of Odessa A'zion and Mikaela Strauss/King Princess (random lineup i know lol).
Timothy "Moth" Yoon
Moth is about 5' 10", has fluffy black hair, dark brown eyes, and heart shaped lips that are usually smiling. He has a singular tattoo of a candle on his inner wrist and no piercings. Sometimes lets Tatum doodle on his hand when she's bored. Has a pet cat back home named Jiji. Is often seen in hoodies, his camera around his neck and, when he's at the dorm, his headset around his neck or on his head. Occasionally sporting eyebags from his late nights. For his face claims I wanna say he'd sort of resemble Jake Sim but like fluffier/messier hair?
Dani Cruz
Dani is 5' 6", has back-length brown wavy hair, brown eyes, and choppy bangs. They have a few randomly placed tattoos and nose piercing on their left side. The tattoos are mostly on their arms and consist of things like flowers, butterflies, leaves, etc. She can be seen wearing either casual outfits such as hoodies, baggie jeans, tees, etc. or flashier outfits such as their shortest black dress, crop tops, fishnets, etc. Dani loves wearing colorful eyeliner, fake freckles, and graphic liner. Dani's faceclaim is Ariela Barer.
River Jordan
F!River is 5' 8" with long, curly black hair while M!River is 6' 1" with shorter curly black hair. They have full, round lips and brown eyes. They wear glasses and have a few piercings including regular ear piercings, a helix on their left ear, snake bites, and a septum. They have a subtle scar up their left arm along with one tattoo on their neck of the moon. Very mystery/reclusive vibes about them. Seem a little rough around the edges. Their outfits are kind of grunge/indie-ish, very layered. F!River's faceclaim is Jessica Parker Kennedy while M!River's faceclaim is Cykeem White.
Jessie "Jess" Aarden
F!Jessie is 5' 7" with long hair and M!Jessie is 5' 11" with shorter, messier hair. They have grey eyes and full pouty lips. They're a natural blonde with sort of messy fringe, but their hair is always dyed and is platinum at the start of the story. They have several piercings including a bridge piercing, septum, snake bites, and various ear piercings. They surprisingly don't have any tattoos and they wear a lot of eyeliner. They wear a lot of black, sometimes revealing clothes, as well as a ton of accessories, jewelry, etc. F!Jessie's faceclaim is Sophie Thatcher and M!Jessie's faceclaim is Noen Eubanks.

It will but not in any way that'll make it seem as though one MC will have an advantage over another. The MC's gender will effect certain flavor texts and routes but you won't be locked out of anything (except the Tatum romance route but that's because she's a lesbian RO, all other ROs are romanceable by everyone).
A lot of the focus for the game is on college, self discovery and shaping your identity so yes the MC's gender can make a difference but nothing too drastic.
