I always dislike a Nolan movie and then it grows on me over time.

Odyssey was fine. Like literally fine. I liked Circe’s scene best. I was looking forward to Agamemnon because all my friends said his look slayed and it did but. He was barely there.

John Leguizamo gave an excellent performance.

Anne Hathaway was really really good.

Matt Damon was there and he did fine.

Elliot Page, bravest young man Od ever knew.

Robert Pattinson whatever.

Best part of the movie was Will Yun Lee was there.

Ask me my opinion again in 5 years and it will be better.

I pre-ordered a Light Phone Flip, scheduled to arrive in April 2027.

the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.

frodo getting criticized for decades for not doing much / not being a hero compared to sam is fitting when you consider mental health and strength is often trivialized. frodo carried the most dangerous and insidious item in middle earth for YEARS. ancient beings (elves, gandalf, etc) were taunted and tempted by it. boromir was corrupted within weeks without even touching it. men and hobbits turned against their brethren for it. killed for it. and frodo, with a wound from a morgul knife, bore it’s weight when no one else could. had it been anyone else, middle earth would have fallen.

no, he couldn’t have done it without his samwise. but isn’t that a lesson in itself?

Also, I had like 550 hours in early access. I knew exactly where to go and who to speak to and what reagents to prioritize, and had mastered all the weapons before touching it on PS5. So I was able to do it very efficiently, time was.
