The goal of this blog is to try to play animal crossing new leaf every day for an entire year and see how the town progresses!! This is something I have wanted to do for forever but I wanted to put some extra work in with mods before i did to personalize it a bit more. my first playthrough of new leaf I missed a ton of cool things and I'd love to do some things like 100% the museum which I have never tried all ive changed so far is a custom player model and adding the deadly six as villagers, both of which i intend to make multiple revisions of later down the line (they are a bit messed up at the moment but i dont really care). I also plan on replacing some special villagers in the future. All of the mods I have made so far I did using kk-dirge's custom villager guide (https://www.tumblr.com/kk-dirge/713610382021967872/guide-has-been-updated-with-a-much-easier-method?source=share) and i highly recommend trying it yourself if you are curious about the process i am not really worried about this account getting any sort of traction, as i see it as more of a kind of open journal. i have everything set up in a way that makes it easy to transfer save files between devices, so if I ever have to stop for a bit I can have someone else take over my town. i would also love to play with other people sometimes but it is 2023 so I'm not sure how likely that is anyway thank you for reading i hope i succeed!!!

i realize i never made a proper update post but since it’s my birthday i think it’s a good time!!!

i haven’t given up on this but my 3ds began overheating any time i played with mods on and i’ve been way too A: worried to play and B: it’s very uncomfortable to hold the system when it feels like lava

this has been something i’ve been trying to figure out for a while but in the meantime i’m semi putting this on hold

if i can’t ever figure it out i may just play on citra but i really don’t want to have to do that

yes i know i missed yesterday i have been so very busy so i cannot promise posts every day

however i will not increase the day amount on days i don’t play

i caved and sold all my turnips not a huge profit but i need money NOW

truly shocking

i caught a flea off of zik and then gave it to him when he asked me for some furniture i feel bad

day 37 at absynth IM BACK i feel like playing again feeling good and excited

i got both the storeroom and the ability to freely move things today i don’t know why but it’s cool

i checked on villagers in my town for a bit

went to zeenas and am wondering what the fuck this is

i asked her for it and she gave it to me

i will be taking a break for a few days to work on a playable sonic mod (just for fun) ill resume going off of day 37 when it's time and ill be posting updates here

LEVEL 3 TREE YAAAAAAAAY

okay it’s not that huge of an achievement but still cool

i spent about a half hour fishing for a frog and i couldn’t find a single one

did she bully you

also i had to buy turnips today at 130 i’m too nervous to wait a little longer and see if they get higher. i think i made a good call though

anyway pretty chill day i was mostly just drawing and eating animal crackers

i didn’t have much time to check in today but i did a couple loops around my town to make sure i wasn’t missing anything

zik literally never stops gossiping i may have picked the wrong personality

i wished on some shooting stars for the first time, i don’t actually know what it does in this game so we’ll find out

zik gave me ANOTHER skeleton which i feel like my house does not need but he knows best

hans gave me a conga drum, i think it was a social buffer because we have barely talked

i plan on giving my town a sonic style checkerboard eventually, i’m prototyping the correct size with solid colors. i think i prolly need to go smaller

side note, i don’t usually tag these with deadly six because i don’t want to spam an already slow tag

and other side note, the dates on the pictures are always a day off because i do it past midnight

also i bought 2700 turnips and i’m mildly concerned i’m not going to make a profit i need something around 150 for it to be worth it

bad day today i was testing my 3ds overheating so i was forced to play without mods

this is rabbit erasure

not sure what this means

i finally got the attic of my house but i have no idea what to put up here since i plan on making my room in the front of the house

this was a nice surprise considering i’ve never had the cafe before

i smacked the machine many times to grind for bushes, seriously the conversion rate is so upsetting it should be like 2 medals for a bush not 5

fortunately you can get as many as you want on the island so i’m not too mad

oh and phineas showed up and i completely forgot to talk to him which i’m sad about because he is very cute

(be honest are my pictures getting worse because this looks like a disaster to me)

today i dedicated myself to beating tears of the kingdom and i felt very emotionally winded after the game so i chilled in ac for a bit

i decorated my house for a bit because every shop is closed by this time and i couldn’t do the things i planned on doing today

i sold my turnips at 350 bells and made a ton of money

however after this point i completely forgot to take photos like i don’t know what happened

i had a friend come over and give me a lemon table and i also decorated my house a bit, as well as planted a few trees and paid off my loan and got the new nooks store (why didn’t i take pictures??? i will take pictures tomorrow you can have this one as a substitute)
