Here is some advice. Hard work gets noticed and pays off. Be proactive, be responsible, be punctual. Remember to pay attention to detail and get to know and learn about what your doctor uses and needs. If he asks for something, be more than happy to get that instrument or x ray for him. Ask questions. You’ll make mistakes, but that’s how you will learn. Don’t forget one of the most important things: making your patients happy. Ask about them; you may learn a few interesting things! When you’re going out of your way to make sure everyone in the office is having a good time, it will be noticed. The best thing you can bring to a practice is a good attitude. With this, you will become a true asset to your office and not just some dental assistant ‘being there’.
