I’m seriously in a dark place. Does anyone know how to battle insecurities?

I'm totally white but I identify as black. Can I be a part of the blackout?
How cute
No
This isn’t really a thing is it? Like it took me a little bit after I left Utah and the Mormons, but I know I’m black. They don’t actually think or identify as a black person. I can’t accept this as a serious ask.
So people can identify as a different gender, or no gender, people can identify as a different species or identify as nothing at all and that is not only accepted, but celebrated. Yet somehow, identifying as a different race is going too far? Is unbelievable? Is too far beyond acceptance? I’m sick of this. It’s cultural appropriation for a white person to have dreads, but an ethnic person who straightens their hair and dyes it blonde is embraced and celebrated. I understand white privilege is a serious issue. But discrimination on all sides is a fucking travesty that defeats the purpose, and worse yet perpetuates the socio-racial divide. I’m sure I will receive hate and people explaining in detail why I am wrong but fuck it. I am white. I have been rewarded for the color I was born, but I refuse to sit idly by while anyone, of any race, or any creed is made to feel lesser because of how they feel.
