I think gabriel corelates more with philosophy than he's given credit for.

Specifically talking about his corelation and connection to socrates.

Socrates (the father of philosophy), main idea is that "he knows that he knows nothing" and so what he does is ask everything, question the knowlage of the people who claims to be experts in their field, not to belittle them but to genuienly find a conclusive answer.

There's even a method based off of this called the "socratic method". In a discussion, one person states something that they believe is the truth, and the other person questions and challenges that statement, and then the first person clarifies the definition, and after that the second person ask them another question, and that cycle repeats until they come to a conclusive answer.

Socrates doesn't claim to offer knowledge, he acts more like a midwife of thinking, where he'll ask you question after question until you realize the answer yourself.

Also he got executed for 'corrupting the youth' by teaching them to question everything, and so they started to rebel

All of this seems to relate with gabriel alot. Questions everything out of genuienr curiosity, being hated for asking too much questions, acts very quirky (sitting down and turning into stone while thinking sounds like smt gabriel would do) etc etc.

So basically he represents the base of philosophy which is questioning everything.

The more I learn about socrates the more I get reminded of gabriel

I've been talking about her for days it's about time I properly designed my own emma

Headcanon: I interpret Emma as someone who doesn't hate feminine or girly things, it's just not her style and preference.

She doesn't see 'femininity' as weak or soft, cause that'll go againts her values of how women can choose to dress and present themselves however they want as long as it was by their agency.

she doesn't hate makeup, she doesn't hate pink, she doesn't hate things associated with girls, why would she? That'll be misogynistic. Let the girls do whatever they want, cause they choose it.

No she doesn't dislike Helen because she presents herself as feminine and soft, she doesn't even dislike Helen as a person, she just hates how much she's conformed into the role of a 'girl' in conservative views--because helen thinks that's what she's supposed to be, not because she chooses to be by her own agency. Emma hates patriarchy, and she hates how it makes girls internalized them in a way where they value their self worth as below men.

[I really think this is important to bring up because feminism is about advocating women's rights and agency, so a Feminist character hating 'feminine' things cause it's soft or girly is actually ironic.

and I've seen these kinds of 'better than other girls' type trope happen several times to characters that were written to be a 'feminist' coded character.]

Genuienly I think spade/Emma would make a good pairing,

not because they're the same suit, but both fight to advocate for their overall rights , views, and values.

• Ofcourse I don't completely understand Emma's character as a whole yet because she haven't appeared in the comics or in the official show, but from what i gathered, her character is a progressive activist that fights for minorities and enviormental rights, justice, and fight againts prejudice and stigmatization. ((E.g: being a Feminist)

• Knowing this, I'd assume she has deep knowledge about things like the history and waves of Feminism, the history of how people see neurodivergence, the history of racism, white supremacy, etc etc.

• She seems to be vocal about this, and wouldn't be afraid of calling out unethical or discriminative actions. I don't see her as somebody who would like to physically fight someone unless it's a last resort or to defend someone else, because she believes it's their liberty rights to bodily autonomy to not get harmed (but in many cases, she comes across assaulters and harrasers alot and like fight them to defend other people, which is why she's bandaged up most times)

• Meanwhile, from the begining, Spade was always against like fëdor, and the idea of being owned or exist as someone's clone. In a way, it makes him feel like his autonomy was taken away, this 'creator' or 'summoner' has the power to banish him back to that void, basically stripping him off of his freedom. Fedya also has the power to literally kill spade, so under those conditions, ofcourse spade wants to have freedom. He is a living being with consciousness and rationality, even though he is a clone, he is still human.

• Seeing that he has strong feelings about his value of himself, his rights, and like his justice, he would be compatible with someone like Emma who FIGHTS for human rights and justice.

• I feel like he wouldn't be as informed as Emma about historical and terminological topics of rights, but he does understand them to some extent by like, his own rationality. But let me get it straight, he've definitely done stuffs before that violated these values (e.g - threatening/causing harm to someone out of anger, etc etc)

Maybe he could be more open minded if Emma explained ethical values in a way he could understand.

• i feel like they would fight alot, but it's because of like their different views on things. But if it really works out, they would have a less hostile fight, and more of a toned down arguement, trying to get each other to understand where they're coming from, and potentially reach an agreement or understanding.
