Whb fandom, if I were to start posting about my self-insert character, do we think it would be better to post it separately from MC/Ra-On, or to have them interact? The self-insert isn't a descendant of Solomon, but for obvious reasons I plan to include romantic relationships with the canon characters.

My preference is with polyamory, but I also like to stick to canon, and I'm well aware that having the self insert in relationships with certain characters breaks the established canon if MC/Ra-On is present. I was initially planning to leave MC/Ra-On out of it, but they could have a fun dynamic and I think it would be interesting to explore, so I'm stuck between those options.

On the one hand Ra-On is a deeply jealous and insecure character, so I don't know if adding a romantic rival would go down well. But on the other hand, they're a massive pervert and it would be very fun to see them panic over another prospective partner (as well as tormenting the canon characters together).

What in hell do I do.

So this one made me JEALOUS jealous. I fully had to take a break and sleep on it. They can't have seriously thought this would go down well with the fans lol?

I think it would have worked great with different characters but like. Come on now.

We know that the demons sleep around. We know that they aren't exclusive. I don't think that's what people are mad about, because we already know that characters like Beleth and Asmodeus are very openly fucking other people aside from MC. It's the fact that they specifically went with Lucifer and Leviathan, two of the kings who are exclusive with MC and canonically refuse to sleep with anyone else. Why are they here?? Why not Asmodeus or Beelzebub???

It's causing jealousy and hurt feelings in fans instead of arousal because this event revolves around the characters who are specifically marketed as being exclusive towards the main character (with the exception of Satan, I guess, but he's still very lovely-dovey-you're-only-mine with MC so I do think he still counts). They got the right idea but the wrong target audience. Why on earth would you specifically take the characters who mostly appeal to a very exclusive audience, two of whom are canonically exclusive with MC, and then have them involved in a "wild sex party?"

The fact that all the witches are female is also a bit frustrating. I think it wouldn't be nearly as awkward if there were witches of all genders involved, but having everyone be of only one gender feels like it's displaying a gender preference on the kings part, which is careless and dismissive towards masc players. Best case scenario you're a female fan who feels like your favourite characters, who you were drawn to because they made you feel special, didn't actually mean anything. Worst case scenario you're a male fan who feels like your favourite characters prefer women.

Maybe that's just me though?? They really should have gone with Asmodeus and Beelzebub for this one. I don't care about the whole unholy trinity thing lol they already slipped up by adding Satan instead of Beel

And while I'm still mad I'd also like to complain about Paimons H-Scene. Where was the blood. What the fuck. PB you can't just do that. You can't just assign each character their own philia and then give them their own H-Scene and then not include the philia. If I'm going to have an H-Scene with a haemotophiliac I want haemotophilia in that scene. That is the bare minimum I fear??? Otherwise what is even the point??????

Like at it's core WHB (along with any other interactive romance/relationship based game) is an escapist fantasy for people to indulge in an idealised relationship without the risk of facing betrayal the way you would in an IRL relationship.

The whole appeal of characters like Lucifer and Leviathan (and, to a degree, Satan) is that they make you feel special. You get to indulge in the fantasy of being the only one able to get them to open up, the only one they're that close to, and the only one they want to be with. You get to play out the role of being special enough and valuable enough to gain the trust and intimacy of someone who's otherwise very closed off, and defensive, and who doesn't let their guard down easily.

So to build up that fantasy of being the only one that matters, being special and different, and having worked for their trust and intimacy and the privilege of being the only one who gets to have them like that, and to then haphazardly throw out an event where those characters very openly fuck other people knowing full well that whilst certain fans are into that, the target audience they're pushing it towards (Luci, Levi and Satan fans) typically do not enjoy it, feels like such a slap in the face.

It's not just bean soup mentality. ("it's a kink event in the kink game, but I don't like that specific kink!") It completely crumbles the fantasy it's built up to appeal to the audience in the first place. It doesn't just add in something people personally dislike like some of the other kink events, it actively takes everything that made it likeable for some fans and crushes it entirely.

They took the "you're the only one I want" characters and then made them want literally everyone else on a random Tuesday. And it's particularly hurtful because there are several other characters they could have used that this would have worked for. There are fans who do enjoy this kind of thing. Me included! But they weren't marketing it towards those fans, they're marketing it towards the fans that want it the absolute least. And they're completely fucking up the appeal that drew those fans in to begin with.

• WHB is a gooner game. There are going to be sex scenes. That is the whole point of the game. It has plot too, but the plot is secondary. Gooner games have gooner content in them. Okay?

• MC is the main character of the gooner game. As such, they are going to be involved in the sex scenes. This is unavoidable, because the game was made specifically with the sex scenes as the focus.

• The alternative to MC enjoying it too much or being too shameless is for them to resist and dislike the sex they're having. They will be having sex with these demons either way, because that is the point of the game. If rape happens to be your preference, that's what the angel cards are for.

• If you don't want to see sexual content, perhaps do not download a gooner game.

• If you absolutely MUST have the game, you have the option to skip past dialogue without having to read it. There's also a button to skip the entire scene if you want.

• The game was created to show a wide variety of kinks. You will not like all of them. Some other people do. Some other people won't like your kinks either. The game will still have these kinks. These people will still have these kinks.

• The game devs do not know you. MC is not somehow based specifically and magically upon you, yourself, reading this post right now. They have never met you. MC is not literally you. You are playing from MC's pov.

• If the characters proportions are wrong, it's usually a pretty solid sign that the artist got the characters proportions wrong. Not everything is indicative of AI. This game has always had janky artwork. Look at the sprites. Look at Mammon. I went into hysterics the first time I saw him. Let's not act like the proportions in this game are flawless. I did not cry real tears of disbelief over his Mr-Potato-Head ass build just to see one of the few games still employing real artists fall to AI witch-hunt over imperfect artwork.

• Asmodeus is not evil or insufferable or abusive because he is a narcissist. He is insufferable and he is also a narcissist. You are being ableist. If the only time you bring up his narcissism is to talk about how bad of a person he is, you are ableist. You can dislike him without pinning all his wrongdoings to his narcissism.

• All of the characters are going to be a bit morally bankrupt. They are demons. We are in hell. It is not supposed to be healthy or a moral lesson, it is supposed to be a steamy fantasy. This is, again, the point of the game.

• If you want to see a change in the game or make a complaint about it, you need to email prettybusy. I cannot stress this enough. They are not going to be scrolling fandom tags. Wanting it hard enough will not make it happen. You have to collectively provide feedback. This goes for bugs, glitches, etc.

• WHB is a gacha game. Gacha games are addictive. It is gambling. Be responsible when you play. This is important.

• Tag your posts. As mentioned previously, this is a kink game. Not everyone will like the same kinks as you. Give other fans the option to filter out what they don't want to see.

• There is nothing stopping you from creating, drawing, writing and/or posting your own version of MC online if you don't like the canon MC. Same goes for literally every other character.

The teen version still has the nsfw content it's just got strategically-placed clothing or a pixelated filter over any explicit imagery

I don't think it was ever intended to be for teens specifically, just a censored version of the main game for people's comfort or preference if that makes sense. (I could be wrong about that though)
