Someone wanted me to talk more about my thoughts on farm boy Boone and horses. I said I’d write about it this morning, but I’m getting ready to move so, whoops!

Anyway, there’s not much to say about Boone’s enjoyment for horses, they just remind him of home. Usually, he was up in a re-purposed hunting stand on watch duty for his family’s heard of brahmin. But, he had a horse. I think he’s bad at naming, so he just called it horse, and horse was his only company for the majority of his time.

Taking care of his and the other horses as a boy carried over to adulthood and he just as an appreciation for them, secretly getting nostalgic for the late summer afternoons of his boyhood where he’d just lounge about on his buddy and watch the clouds roll by.

Thought my old sheet and prices needed some well deserved redesign. I also wanted to provide you a clearer list of my pricing and what I will and won’t draw. As always please do not hesitate to shoot me a message if you have any questions commission idea and are unsure if it’s something that fits my wheelhouse. I am always more than happy to discuss alternative ideas and also provide different things than what I have specifically listed.

I always feel like I need to point out that the commissions go mainly to helping with my living expenses and university expenses, as I enter the last year of my MA.

By the end, Six and Boone are ride or die besties for life, but like any friendship, there's bound to be some rocky spots along the way. Early on, they both learn important things about each other. Like how Six doesn't like to be startled awake and how Boone doesn't like to be bitten.

Because we don’t get anything about Boone’s childhood, I like to think that he grew up a farm boy. But he’s first generation NCR, his parents struggled with raiders before the NCR arrived. This brought out a loyalty in himself to the cause, because he’s heard first accounts of what it was like before, but he, himself hasn’t experienced anything else. That’s why he’s so true to the NCR (more nuance in the tags), even after what they put him through.

I’m definitely trying to build off of the recruiters picking up kids off farms/ranches. This also brings the topic of Boone possibly taking a liking to horses, but that’s a tangent for a different post.
