coelacanth
Sometimes I remember the sheer scale of evolutionary alterations that coelacanths have muscled their way through
the weight of eons of change and incremental improvement on a cellular level that have been concealed under, to our eyes, an ossified limb configuration that’s remained stagnant in its antiquity.
So I can seek comfort in my own improvements, even if nothing hints to it from the outside

It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply.
Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them. Lightly, lightly— it’s the best advice ever given me. So throw away your baggage and go forward.
There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet, trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair. That’s why you must walk so lightly.

life didn’t end when we ended like i expected it too,
life started over again and it was fucking beautiful
“Travel far enough, you meet yourself.”
— David Mitchell
I wonder how many people are out there, who don't talk to others, who don't have people to share stuff with.
Every person is a soul filled with voices of so many different personalities, and each voice has its own battered down story. How many voices get a panel? How many voices are heard?
I have so many feelings that I do not know what I would do if not for Tumblr and Blogspot. I silently pray (not to god, but to humanity) that all these expressions find a face to reciprocate.

“ Don’t lean on the words of strangers that post will always give way Rely only on yourself there’s only one fee to pay. They say “step into my parlour” and don’t mind the dust That’s just the dreams of others that have turned to rust. That angel sings sweetly to beguile and entice but nothing loses more swiftly than the roll of the dice… (c) Marlovian 2021.

“You must find... someone mild and beautiful to be your lover. Someone who will tremble for your touch, offer you a marguerite by its long stem with his eyes lowered, someone whose fingers are a poem.”
— Janet Fitch, White Oleander
The characters in my book remind me of you. It's not just one of them, it's all of them, it's none of them- at the same time. I hear their voices whispering in the walls of my house. They aren't as soft as you, but they say the same things. They end up leaving me after the last chapter, they don't stay for long either. They always remind me of the way you waltz in my life and shake my thoughts.
You change me the same way, each and every book I read changes a part of me. How each character gleefully reminds you of that one person who left you unrecognisable.

Sometimes all you can do is wait in style for the fates to finish flipping the coin, hope you end up on the back of the hand with your face to the sky, chuck a record on or finish the old man and the sea; he'd learnt how to be patient
