Punching bag [alter role] ‥‥
A role for alters that take any type of treatment without complaint or “making a fuss”. This is mostly used in a negative connotation, and can also be applied for alters that function internally.
This role is intended for alters that endure active abuse, are used as an outlet for other alters in the system to vent frustration, or other such things. They may be convinced they deserve it, or might even find enjoyment the treatment; alters that fall under this role may also be a loyalist.
This is a technical recoin; as the original version—which can be seen on pluralpedia—didn’t include outside forces, and it felt very lacking.
