QUESTION: Your casting choices for the Life is Strange TV Series currently in development?

That’s a toughie, to be honest.  I have zero interest in the live-action adaptation as it’ll likely be a clusterfuck of the choices that we can make in the game.  I just can’t see anyone in particular doing a job that can reach the level of the voice actors.  Sorry.

...It doesn’t help that I also don’t see Pricefield being canon in the adaptation, aside from maybe them going for the kiss from Chaos Theory.  I don’t trust them at this point.

So is the comic cancelled?

No, the comic is not canceled. The two of us have both just been incredibly busy these past months and have a lot going on. When we started there was an attempt at some sort of regular update schedule but that was simply not meant to be. Between Summer's rigorous med school schedule and my health issues and the legal battle I am undertaking with Social Security because of my disability we both just have a lot on our plates. That does NOT, however, mean the comic is canceled. It just means that we will get to updating it when we can - remember, we're doing this all for free because we want to share our story of what might have been after the end of Life is Strange. Just be patient and understanding, okay?- Rowan

A Serious Note on What If?

Someone recently asked myself and @summerfelldraws about the possibility of being given blank copies of the journal entries for translation.

While we understand that English is not everyone’s primary language, we have to respectfully decline any requests for blank copies of our comics and journal entries.  Summer and I are just starting this and we both feel that if blank versions of our work were to get out someone would eventually steal credit for what we’re working on.

This in no way means that we think negatively about anyone in particular, but we all know there are people in this community that like to take others’ work and claim it is theirs.

We have our names on the material for a reason

Didn’t stop some jerk named “Frost Bite” from badly painting over the comic @summerfelldraws and I have created to translate it all into Russian without our permission. Your fic book account says that you translate with the original author’s permission. As the writer for this comic, I can honestly say you DIDN’T have mine. Not having permission doesn’t seem to stop you. Thief.

Whoah hey. No one stole your work. There’s a link in the album (where the translation originally stores) and your nicknames on it.

I fail to see a problem. If there are interested people in your work, they will find you.

And to be honest, it’s me who actually initiated this whole thing. Besides, I’m the one who translates the comic part and works with the images.

Perhaps I was wrong to not tell you in the first place that I was doing it already. And I DO apologize for that. Don’t go too hard on Frost Bite. And with all respect, don’t act like a complete bee-atches.

Okay, some clearing things up.

It was not entirely Frost Bite's fault - she had no clue as to what she was doing and was led along by the person who had requested this of her. She didn't realize that our consent had not been given and I apologize to her for not knowing who the real culprit was at the time. Not all the information was given at the time of my original post about the translation and, again, I apologize to Frost Bite. You sound genuinely nice by our emails exchanged this morning and I hope that you don't get caught in the middle of anything like this again.

3,000 Followers for What If?

@summerfelldraws and I would like to thank you for what we both feel is a huge milestone.  We started talking about this project back in September, knowing that we wanted to do a comic that would continue the story no matter what.  It means a lot to Summer and myself that you’re willing to go on this journey with us.  I read the tags in your reblogs when I can, as some of you know full well because I write you back, and I want to just show my heartfelt appreciation.

This comic and how much love it has received means the world to me, and your support has helped me through a very difficult year in terms of my family and private life.  This is a passion project that I’ve dreamed of doing since I was a kid.  Writing for a comic, I mean.

I’m just so glad you’re all with us, and a shout-out to @eulovequebra for being the 3,000th person to join us!  Welcome!
