Corsets weren't "progressive" (as well as bras aren't "progressive"), but they weren't as bad as most people tend to see them nowadays. The comparison with a "mega mega push up bra" is actually good, because not every single bra is like that and bras aren't inherently evil – an not every corset was a tool of torture deforming your ribs and internal organs. It's a misconception

The OP has probably seen this particular video and chose to not believe Karolina, but maybe someone will at least consider a different point of view on corsets
