That NG Factor thing they did on Matt's Podcast reviewing people's songs is amazing for many reasons but most of all because it shows that Noel's criteria for singers is just Liam. If it's bad "it sounds like Liam having a shit", if the singer's holding back "you have to turn that up like I did with Liam so he'd sing at the top of his range", if it's good "it sounds like one of Liam's tunes", "if it was 'r'kid singing it, it'd be fucking huge". Man.

"give her all the love she gives to me" and "never felt this love from anyone" has always made me feel like noel is just a completely different person with liam when they are alone together. deeply affectionate and generous with his adoration. it's easy to imagine how liam is in that context because he has always worn his heart on his sleeve for noel regardless of whether they're alone or not, but what we are able to see of noel is so hot and cold and prickly. but his music tells us that he can be deeply romantic too. when it's good it must be really good. i always think of the testimony from the groupie who said that noel was constantly asking liam for hugs. and we know he feels most at peace in his lover's brother's arms.

There is this book from the '90ies "Oasis" by Paul Mathur. Both our Gallagher boys contributed forewords. Liam has a bit of a trouble with it, he's better at answering questions. So after being asked who he is and what he wants, the first real question he wants to answer is: Do You Love Noel?
