Art Profile: Enan

His in-game appearance is pretty accurate, apart from the lack of piercings. Note that the copper-colored bands on his tail and facial tendrils are more current and accurate than the orangey ones.

He has a number of piercings: both earlobes, three on the lower edge of each horn, three on the upper edge of each ear, and two in his left eyebrow. (Plus a few more that don’t show.) He wears a variety of earrings, including sometimes (breakaway) chains connecting the upper and lower ones.

20. How do they comfort each other when one of them is upset? Is this method of comfort effective?

For Sereglin and Rowan(both OCs) I know Rowan brings her tea and just sits with her. Lets her talk about what is bothering her or not talk if that is more how she feels. And yeah it's effective. I think she dose the same but maybe with soup sometimes rather than the tea. It works but not quite as well? I think she may have done it first and he realized it's what she would want.

Fire- A short Sereglin fic.

Nights like this are what keep me going. I mean yeah, I have other things that do too, but this is the sort of thing that makes it all worth it. The fire’s warmth sinking into me as Rowan holds me in his arms. I almost feel alive. I absolutely feel loved. The bedroll under us is soft and the night is peaceful, even if this land we are in isn’t. It doesn’t really matter where we are as long as it’s us and the fire.

Rowan shifts to get up and asks me if I want more tea. And yeah, I always want more tea. He goes to the kettle we have floating over the fire and refills both our mugs. Then he settles back in beside me. The mug is hot and probably should hurt to hold as tight as I do. I don’t care. I crave the warmth. We stay like this until the tea is gone and our heads are heavy. Then after a last batch of fuel on the fire, we curl up to sleep.

Talking about Dar’lindon’s emotional denial makes him sound like a stone cold bitch but it’s really more of a “lets not get too deep” sort of a thing. 

A “I don’t like to dwell on things”

A “Oh! I am not remotely sober* enough to contemplate that right now”

He copes with things by not thinking about them. Has since the fall of Quel'Thalas and he has no plans to stop soon. Add that to being private about a lot of things and you get a man who will never tell you how he actually feels deep down. Because he is trying to convince you there is no deep down. 

*or high. Whatever one he isn’t at the moment.

#13 Do they share personal items like razors/hairbrushes/toothbrushes?

I'm feeling a nope here

#19 How do they help each other get ready for a night out (zipping dresses, straightening ties etc?) 

I'm not actually sure. Probably in a bunch of little ways that are hard for me to pinpoint without going over everything that they would need to do in getting ready. Mainly what I am sure of is that Ren helps Gadreel be sure he didn't miss any details in how he looks due to not seeing.

#27 How do they organise their books/DVDs/CDs? Are they kept separate, or together? Alphabetically? By genre?

Still not sure about audio media. As to books I think those were mostly Ren's and sadly he lost a lot of them when Darkwall was wrecked. I have no clue how he organizes them but I think that might be that Gadreel gives no fucks about it.

8 - Who’s more likely to buy something that’s not on the shopping list? Tallak is more impulsive in general, but he does most of the cooking so he probably wrote the list to begin with and can put what he wants on there. Vian is more likely to try to justify buying something off-list; Tallak usually doesn't bother.

13 - Do they share personal items like razors/hairbrushes/toothbrushes? Vian uses an alchemical hair remover (it's basically magic Nair you can use on your face); I don't think he's ever actually shaved in his life. I don't think Tallak would mind sharing his razor, but it's never come up. They each have their own hairbrush and each will usually use his own, but if they're, like, taking turns brushing each other's hair, they'll just use the same brush because it's easier. (Ask me about Thalassian wedding brushes, it's a whole Thing.)

27 - How do they organise their books/DVDs/CDs? Are they kept separate, or together? Alphabetically? By genre? Genre/subject, then language, I think? Then alphabetically by author, probably. Or title, if there isn't an author. If there isn't either I don't know what they do. I know they have a lot more nonfiction than I do, but I don't know what all they have or what subjects. History? Probably by region, then chronologically. They didn't have a ton of books when they first moved in since neither of them had much space before, so the library was pretty empty and sad for a while, but once Vian especially had a place for books he…might have gone a little crazy filling it up. The majority of the books are his, so he devised the system. Except cookbooks. The kitchen bookshelf is Tallak's domain. (I don't know if he has a system. He knows where everything is.)

6, 29, and 39

6 - Who picks what colour bed linen they buy? What does it look like? Vian makes most of their linens, and he usually picks the color and style. Tallak will give input if asked, but he mostly only cares that they're comfortable.

29 - Do they know each others’ tea/coffee orders? Can they make it well? They're learning. I don't think either of them has one single order, though.

39 - Who’s more likely to lock themselves out? I'm not even sure how their door locks, tbh. Regular keys? Some kinda magic version of a keypad? Biometrics? How do elves do home security?

In any case, I'd like to think they're both pretty good about remembering whatever they need to to get in.
