Screw you Mikes in the B10CU headcanons because I have no life
The entire place is basically just a TV station/theater in the middle of a frozen, barren, uninhabitable wasteland which forces pretty much everyone to stay inside out of the belief the outside is too dangerous.
The Boards are state-of-the-art VR systems mixed with hallucinogens (most likely Dream Eater or Hypnotick essence) and a bit of magic to stimulate as realistic of an experience as possible, commonly used by the TV World denizens to simulate new environments in lieu of going outside so they don’t get cabin fever. Needless to say, they very much appreciate getting to have a new home where they aren’t confined in one area 24/7.
Nemuina!Battat semi-regularly drugs everyone and manipulates their dreams to try and keep them from going insane and trying to kill themselves/each other. However, since he’s immune to his own powers, he ends up being the most deranged one by default as well as a chronic insomniac and workaholic. After being rescued by the BMP, he’s currently been enlisted by them to help use his powers to subdue more troublesome aliens in the BMP’s custody to make them more compliant in a non-violent method.
Since time flows differently in the rifts, Ectonurite!Jongler either arrived at the studio before Zs’Skayr’s rule or they ended up there seeking sanctuary after Zs’Skayr rose to power (since you can’t tell me some of the Ectonurites wouldn’t have noped the fuck out of Anur-Transyl once they realized what he is planning) and now have Tenna as their preferred “evil overlord” of choice while they try to help improve Ectonurites’ reputation after their rescue. It’s actually rare to see their “true” self since most of the time they prefer to either stay intangible to make sure no one tries anything funny (and to get all the latest gossip) or experiment with various different sun-bodies they like to make in their free time.
Celestialsapien!Pluey actually has a rare disorder that causes him to be a “singlet” in his mind but at the cost of being incredibly weak for a Celestialsapien. Don’t get the wrong idea, he is still VERY powerful and is pretty much the reason everyone in the TV World can get food, water, oxygen, and supplies given their circumstances, but he is nowhere near as powerful as Alien X, can easily burn himself out, and the things he summons into reality don’t always manifest in the way he wants them to (see the Water Cooler incident). He prefers to communicate through the use of music, though probably using a more “spacey” instrument like a theremin, synth, or Otamatone. His presence has also caused the nature of the TV World rift to be far more “malleable” than most other rift worlds, making it so strange things are more likely to happen and inadvertently allowing for a certain nightmare demon of an outsider to invade the TV world.
Due to Tenna constantly having a different description of what Mike looks like every time he’s asked prior to the Mike Trio donning their costumes, Nemuina!Battat theorizes that Mike is actually a Contumelia. Ectonurite!Jongler just thinks Tenna has a bad memory. Celestialsapien!Pluey seems to not really have any strong feelings one way or the other.
*nodding nodding* yes yes, let the BMP Mike headcanons flow!
I wonder if the first two points could also be 'assisted' (aka Rifts™️don't assist anyone, they're just weird as hell) by these rifts having weird space-logic and by space I mean shit like non-euclidean space; I suppose first instance, the hellishly cold barren wasteland is part of spherical space, so even if you can survive cold as hell places if you walk far enough you're back at the studio. Another, I wonder if rifts could be... for lack of better term multi-spatial, the outside being spherical space, the TV Studio being euclidean, and the Boards being hyperbolic but in most instances there's like a... safety veil between the board-space and the studio-space (maybe because of Pluey trying to make things 'normal' enough for the rest of the people trapped here as his Mike role/'Mike! The Board please!'), but being a singlet (let's bullshit a term real quick; Tiebreaker Syndrome, which includes celestialsapiens with 3+ odd numbered... councils let's call them <- retconning the Omniverse retcon as per usual) there's only one councillor overseeing the rift and things sometimes... slip; 8-bit Kris escaping the board, a certain entity entering the rift without a ship, stuff like that come to mind.
Incredibly stupid question but. Would Susie Deltarune in the B10CU fit better as a Tetramand, an Appoplexian, a Vaxasaurian, or a Gourmand?
(I could see her lore being something like her having wanted to join the Plumbers but she was deemed too much of a "basket case"/"liability" to be allowed as a cadet so she got drafted into the BMP in hopes it would help "improve her behavior" which she starts out bitter and resentful about but eventually comes to want to stay as an official full-fledged member, helped by her encountering an old Geochelone Aerio revived by the power of the interdimensional rifts who just so happens to have a history with the BMP…)
Between a tetramand, appoplexian, vaxasaurian or a gourmand? Hmm yes, all very good choices but... what if she's a mutant instead; picture Gatorboy for example.
Susie is considered to be an outcast amongst monsters, a mysterious new girl who bullies a weirdo human, but she becomes Kris' best friend and mirror so... I really like the idea that if not by parents she was raised in a human dense environment. The Ben 10 spin on this being that she was raised on Earth (Kris potentially being raised on another planet/multi-species space station) as 'other' and maybe maybe not pulling a Futurama and mimic Leela's *gestures vaguely, trying word it* understanding of herself vs the understanding of the universe yada yada; Susie thinks she's an alien but she's a crocodile shaped human (plus it ain't Susie if she doesn't have a heavy mat of hair that I like to think is actually feathers) vs Kris who is human shaped but has stolen in some way or another an anodite spark that's parasitising off of them (if you've ever seen @electraslight's skin-suit anodites which have altered my brain chemistry but unlike Gwen, Kris' spark is the soul equivalent and most importantly ISN'T THEM so it's kinda just... a SOMA type situation where the human and the anodite do not transition from one to the other but replaces the host)
This is a rather specific idea for something Ben 10 related, but imagine an RPG game for Ben 10 (think Earthbound or HorrorVale styled RPG Game) where Tetrax is the main character.
I just came up with it today and I have no idea for a plot or what'd it be like but I'm tossing the idea to you, O great Petrosapien rambler. ;}

My first gut reaction was to suggest Rogue Trader but I know absolutely nothing about the gameplay of Rogue Trader (only if in the hypothetical headspace if I try to combine Ben 10 with Warhammer 40K that for lack of any better option Tetrax would be a rogue trader given *gestures vaguely* alla that), and my second is Pulsar: Lost Colony which is... definitely more niche (there are 5 roles; captain, pilot, scientist, engineer, and weapons specialist. I can see potentially Tetrax and Gluto getting more of a crew to work with) but you're here for Tetrax MAIN character, and Pulsar isn't really a main character type of game; nevermind that these aren't even RPGs not in the way you've described these are just first thoughts-
For something more RPGMaker style turn-based RPG thingy for lack of better term...
Sorry for this weird confession, but each time I try to search up your blog after a few weeks it feels like opening a safe (like the ones in movies)
(P.s. fun fact: one of the reasons I went on Tumblr were your tf:a BETCs posts)
Haha that's really funny, plus also thank you in the first place for looking up my blog too- all credit for the inspiration behind BETCs @gritsandbrits who felt like Blackarachnia would have had a stronger sympathetic arc if she didn't already become 'the worst version of herself' off-screen!
is it more a safe breaking scene with the whole mission impossible track or is it more a mcguffin kind of safe :P
the last 2 films you watched just fused, is it good?
yes
no
actually yes?
it's so bad that it's funny

Honestly the concept of an UTDR esque plot set in the Ben 10 Cinematic Universe would kind of go hard actually. Maybe it'd be about how you're the sole human new recruit to at an intergalactic multi-species organization that's like a more peaceful version of the Plumbers and you and your fellow cadets are getting called to investigate cases of a strange figure opening rifts in reality that you have to deal with before the cosmic energy leaks out and corrupts the galaxy while finding the inhabitants of the rift a new and safer place to live or something like that.
Maybe the Undertale counterpart could be said organization getting trapped in a solar system by some big bad evil guy and the Plumbers send a human rookie to go investigate a distress signal sent by them?
And of course we got to have Professor Paradox messing around in the background because let's face it, he's basically the B10CU version of Gaster.
*Comes back from looking up synonyms* hmm yes, maybe a Bureau of Metaphysical Phenomena (BMP) that is part research part search and rescue, metaphysical being a term in this context referring to magic and cosmic occurrences not yet fully understood (since Ben 10 remains sci-fantasy n whatever)- whether it's caused naturally or by someone powerful if it's unexplainable/hard to comprehend it's the duty of the BMP to find out and get people the fuck out.
Anyway! Paradox is in all but 'shattered' basically just Gaster, so his only real limitation in a UTDR type story in the B10CU (so many acronyms woops) is probably the thinness of the time-space continuum that he can't really interfere with himself for risk of tearing the realities apart, so it's really just an enter and exit type deal for small-ish or solo rescue parties. With the time-space continuum being thin, if you had preserved the rest feature (or I suppose preserved the save/load function) then he'd probably but nature of that end up narratively quite suitably as a background operative, only showing up in places that seem to escape reality (Gaster's grey room type shit, maybe even the egg man rooms but maybe the veil is way too thin to do more than slip things through the gaps of torn space).
Hey, this could probably be something something yada yada connected to the Time War, or more like a consequence of it that are the... okay so you pinch and pull at the fabric of something enough and it's edges tear? Sometimes if it has seams it's gonna just rip along or adjacent to the line but other times it's been the 'weakest link' between the planes? Yeah, they're not the bombed fields of the Time War but they could be the power vacuums or the economic crises or something equivalent to them here! Something a hero of the universe doesn't necessarily have the time to focus on nor particularly have the ability to be everywhere at once to solve, and plus if one powerful entity can start the Time War to begin with what's stopping someone from continuing again?
I think it would've been neat if more Ben 10 aliens had explicitly different approaches to senses like vulpimancers do (blind but has heat vision/spatial awareness) or limited or even expanded methods of communication (vulpimancers again not having the facial structure to speak English and assumably with lore not a lot of languages included in Universal Common <- including the Sotoragg language SixSix and all his copycats use), they managed to communicate Wildmutt's senses just fine so like...
Imagine if petrosapiens were deaf and actually felt sound more than hearing it, their spines being a sexual dimorphic trait to actually hear better and thus instead of everyone on Earth everywhere no matter the country saying that women love to talk or don't 'shut the fuck up' in some cases, it's actually stereotyped on Petropia that men are the ones who can't shut their trap; hell, they might be 'validated' in that sentiment if it was a dude who first got the ball rolling for a vocal language (pulling from lots of background work on a Petropian conlang that I haven't worked on for 2... wait now 3 years.......... fuck- where petrosapiens developed a written language first due to the dangers of making too much noise + just being more visually inclined yada yada rambling).
Or uh... *pulling it up* Seraphim - a cursed as hell conlang made for a contest - with it's potential to infinitely loop phrases being the communicative form that celestialsapien languages take minus all the stuff linked to human theology (or maybe even plus everything else). It has got to be AWFUL to speak to a celestialsapien if not a contumelia given their actual fifth-dimensional status.
Okay maybe that form of language would be too hard to express in a tv show or especially non-audible media (though if you know of House of Leaves and the methods to which that breaks the meta of the medium of books it's not unheard of), but come on wouldn't it be so fun to just have completely different baseline perceptions of the world that are root to everything else a species actually registers as the environment that they are in it would be so cool!
Hey if the Mike Trio were in the Ben 10 Cinematic Universe what alien species would they be
Oh hohohoh, you have called me from the depths of the pond I lurk in, haven't you!
At first I was a little stumped, stuck on shape language and what each Mike looks like to translate one-to-one Deltarune visual design to Ben 10 visual design. Then, I thought thematically and... wouldn't it be interesting for the Mikes to be species that can 'convince' you that they're the real Mike?
For Battat, first thought was making him a galvan; small, smart (ish), and definitely full blown conspiracy theorist needing to have questions answered. But unless you want another bumbling idiot brand of galvan like Blukic and Driba (smarter than a human, sure, but by no means smart enough to be a real genius), I thought of another little guy, sonorosians; white and green, loud. However if Battat was a sonorosian then he wouldn't NEED the other Mikes- what Battat really is is a nemuina! Sharp, gloves, and arguably the shrill voice I imagine Battat to have, that's a face that can be underestimated but also the face of a 'troublemaker' with a bad reputation!
plus if you count the albedo variant of pesky dust the crew did you can probably extrapolate a white and green nemuina from that easy

Think of the most noticeable scar on your body. How did you get it?
From another person
From an animal
Sport injury
Falling (while not doing sports)
Dealing with sharp objects or broken glass/ceramics*
Dealing with non-sharp objects (happens)
Temperature burn
Chemical burn (what have you been doing?)
Something else
I have 2 or more equally noticeable scars that I got in different ways
I don't have scars/see results
*if you fell on a sharp object, consider that falling. Otherwise, consider it dealing with sharp objects
I definitely remember someone somewhere here thought up a version of Eunice that was based on Kevin's DNA rather than Gwen's as both an obvious *coughs into hand* let's say work around to the whole 'Ben gets a crush/finds Eunice attractive' thing with a bonus Bevin twist 'Dude, that's MY DNA what do you MEAN you like Eunice!?'
But I also think that (particularly since this was UAF Ben 10) if Eunice sampled and randomised Kevin's DNA that rather than a human girl waking up in an alien pod, Eunice would be an osmosian with more osmosian features thanks to the gene-shuffle; an (assumed) osmosian showing up in what could be interpreted as an escape pod AFTER the Andromeda arc with all of Aggregor's shit would probably make for an interesting dynamic with Team Tennyson, especially what additional assumptions they'd make on top of the whole 'not knowing Eunice is a Unitrix' thing-
Plus, the whole gimmick of the Unitrix would easily have been disguised under the powerset of an osmosian even if it's a subtler effect than either Kevin or even Aggregor (thinking back to when he grew geochelone aerio vents). Combine that all under being hunted by a bounty hunter (Sunder, even if functionally it should've been Tetrax since he and Azmuth have interacted on screen but that's just me missing Tetrax don't mind me i get why it's sunder he's antagonistic to team ben and the episode probably wouldn't work if it was tetrax but shhhhhut), and you've got a plot twist ready and raring to be subverted!
