5 weeks almost to go

1. I was wrong when I said Braxton Hicks weren’t as bad this time around. Yesterday I had them just like last time where it was just like when I was in active labor. Obviously nothing came of it, but ouch!

2. Also just had sex for the first time in a while and OW. Didn’t hurt when I was pregnant with my first but I was definitely having more of it then 🤷🏻‍♀️

So, I’ve having Braxton Hicks contractions for like 2 days now. They don’t hurt but they’re really annoying. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m almost 25 weeks (this is my second) and I just started getting them again. So far they aren’t as painful as last time!

It’s been a while

SO. I’m 24 weeks pregnant with baby #2. I’ve been doing well mostly, just catching a ton of viruses which have been rough. I’ve gained about 6 pounds now but really gained when we visited family, I hadn’t gained at all before that. It’s not that I’m trying to avoid gaining but I’ve definitely been over indulging lately.

I do my Glucose test in a week, and I’m expecting them to say I have GD again. I was diet controlled last time so hopefully that continues to be the case.

I feel like this pregnancy is going by so slow but we are just now getting to set up the baby room and about to be SUPER busy until basically mid June.

Just feeling super emotional this week

12 weeks today

Found out two days ago that baby 2 is a girl! I was so shocked because I was feeling like it was a boy but instantly excited. I am so happy G will have a sister. I really worried my husband would be disappointed but he wasn’t at all. We just want a happy healthy baby! Yesterday I felt pretty okay. Still having some nausea but haven’t taken the Zofran in quite a few days now so hoping that means I’m almost out of the woods with that.

Still. In. The. First. Tri.

I’m so ready to be past the 12 week mark I feel like I’ll sort of be relieved but then also not because my anxiety is high these days. Had an appointment today and everything looks great, the baby was moving around a ton so it was hard to get a picture. I can do the gender and genetic marker test as of Saturday (10 weeks) but the office is closed til THURSDAY so I’ll be there right when they open. Even then it says it can take two weeks to get It.

I’m dying to know what I’m having! Heart rate was higher this time which is more in line with the girl wives tales. I still haven’t had dreams about the sex of the baby so I don’t know!

First tri problems

-“morning” sickness all day long

-not being able to tell everyone why you’re antisocial and look like you got the plague

-trying to field a toddler while feeling like garbage

-my nipples being endlessly hard (I can literally feel them through three thick blankets right now)

-the smell factor

-not wanting to eat some of my favorite things, but at the same time wanting to eat them

-boobs have grown another cup size

-constant need to pee

Unisom and b6 🙌🏻

So yesterday I was still really sick and doing awful. I called my dr and the nurse told me to try taking 100mg of b6 and unisom at bed time. I was super skeptical this would help, but I asked my mom friends and a lot of them found relief with this combo!

The unisom obviously made me sleep pretty hard but I was so surprised to wake up way less nauseous! I am still a tad nauseous but worlds better than the last few days. I was even able to eat breakfast and that’s a game changer because I am 100% a breakfast girl and my whole day is thrown off when I don’t eat breakfast.

A few people said the effects of the meds wore off in the afternoon or evening so we will see how it goes for me. We are gearing up to head to Gs music class now.

If anyone has tips for relieving sinus pressure and congestion I’d love them, I am taking an allergy pill and usually do mucinex also but I don’t feel comfortable taking that right now.

My dreams have been nuts. Surprisingly not telling me about the baby much yet

Last night I literally felt so sick. I was so nauseous and I was having like, instestinal cramping or something—NOT baby cramping. I basically felt like my intestines were wiggling. I went to bed at 8. I still don’t feel very good but not as awful as last night right now. G has school today so I’ve got to take her to that but otherwise I am probably going to try and shower and rest today. I feel like I have food poisoning but I’m not sure if this is just the baby and this is what my morning sickness feels like or what because I didn’t have this last time

The only thing that’s seeming to help my morning sickness

Is banana milkshakes. I make it with almond milk since dairy doesn’t like me right now and frozen bananas. Sometimes I add chocolate too.

Now If only I could find a way to relieve my sinus pressure. I’m taking Tylenol sinus and allergy medication but I think maybe I have a sinus infection, because my ears keep popping and feeling “full”. No one has called me back from my general dr in over a week 🙄

I’m lucky if I make it to 9 these days, and if I do it’s because G didn’t go to sleep fast
