How do you find out who your roommates will be? I've seen multiple vlogs/posts where people already know their roomies but never say how they got to know them. I've always been really curious about this, heh. >•<
You officially find out the day you move in! You can be separated from them even if you request them, but I don’t know any people who really had that problem.
Are roommates placed based on arrival date? I have the last arrival date in September and would ideally not like to join an apartment where everyone has already been there for weeks. Thanks!
Roommates are based on arrival dates! If you have a group of people together you can still all get placed together potentially and not have anyone else who has been there for weeks
I'm thinking about doing DCP in a year (after I graduate from my college). I would be going to the California one. My question does it matter what you did at your college for DCP? I pretty much have the opportunity to do it and I think I just might. Any advice? I'm in love with Disney btw.
It really doesn’t matter what you did! My best friend/roommate graduated from school a semester early and is currently attending optometry school and still did the Spring program.
Rachel and I ate at Be Our Guest the other night! We were looking for a place to eat (I got tired of eating dino chicken nuggets for every meal) and she snagged a last minute reservation. I had the braised pork which was a little too fatty for my taste (still tasted sooo good), but the puréed cauliflower and broccolini sides were amazing. We both got the grey stuff which was seriously delicious. My camera died as soon as we sat down so I got no video of the dinner which just gives me a really good excuse to go back and try something else!
It’s here! Finally an update! I’ve been super busy, but I promise to start posting more regularly since I’ve gotten used to my new schedule. New blog post about the point system coming tomorrow!!

I got into Orlando yesterday afternoon and I've been exploring since I got here! I checked out of Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort this morning and headed over to Coronado Springs. Now I'm waiting to get my nails done in their salon (it's so pretty). After I'm headed over to my next hotel to check in and I get to meet some of my roommates! I'm going to try to upload my first vlog tonight or tomorrow. YouTube has the upload time as 1040 minutes and I didn't have time to leave my computer on before my checkout time this morning so hopefully it'll go better this afternoon! See ya real soon!

On My Way: DCP Travel Update
Since there seems to be so much uncertainty about the snowstorm that could be coming this weekend my dad decided to move my flight from Saturday to Friday.
So let’s recap: I will be in Disney one day earlier than planned and I have only packed my bedding.
Less Than One Week Away!
I’m officially less than one week away from check-in! I’m supposed to fly out Saturday afternoon and I’ve packed almost nothing (oops). I’m hoping this snowstorm doesn’t mess anything up, but on a brighter note my new camera is on it’s way so my first vlog should be up before I leave!
I submitted my application 3 days ago for fall and I'm still under submission :| is that normal?
It’s pretty normal! Some people get out pretty quickly, for others it takes awhile, and unfortunately for some their status never changes. Good luck!

Do you know if you bring a car does it have to be under your name or could you just be on the insurance?
The registration itself should be fine to be under someone else’s name (plenty of people have said they had no trouble with the registration being under their parent’s name), but your name does have to be on the insurance. It can be your parent’s policy as long as your name is included as a registered driver!
What if someone has never been to Disney but is extremely interested in the program? Does that have any effect on their likelihood to get accepted? I have a phone interview next week and am a bit worried what will happen when they ask if I'm familiar with the parks and I say I have never been. (I have been to Universal and Orlando before!... once.)
You don’t have anything to worry about! There are plenty of people who have never been to any Disney park and they get accepted to the program. There are also people who have been to the parks hundreds of times, but that won’t necessarily make them a good cast member. It’s more about your work ethic and attitude!
