Alright fellow DCP fall '17 hopefuls! After a fair amount of research, I have found that the first wave of acceptances usually come within two to four weeks of applications dropping. And they opened on the 23rd! So we're already a week in. "But Rachel, what does this mean for me? " You may ask. "I'm still in submission!" You say, disappointedly, "I won't be accepted in the first wave, why do I care?" I'll tell you why, friends. If you're in submission, that means they reviewed your application and your credentials are just fine. There's nothing wrong. But maybe you applied at the same time as a lot of others. Maybe you're young and don't have a lot of work experience. There's a lot of reasons some people immediately move to the interview and some don't! Regardless, your progress bar has said "In submission" for a while and you've been refreshing the page every few hours just in case. So what this means to you is: once people start getting accepted, then people in submission will start moving forward in the process!! So you can stop refreshing the page. Take a deep breath. Watch a Disney movie. There's not much longer to wait. (2 week estimate from this site: http://dcpparents.com/dcp-program-phases/ )
