Itâs been a while but trying to be active. Iâm still journaling, still drinking tea. Still trying to see the good in everything.
I have a fountain pen. Well I have two and I want more! But my tea/journaling time has become really special with the introduction of the fountain pen. Itâs more intimate, itâs fun, my relationship with writing has become more expressive. Iâm possessed with self awareness and the need to record it. I love the inflection in the ink on the page and I love how beautiful it looks when Iâm finished. There is depth, there is range. The page is screaming: âHere lies something important, written by someone important.â I feel affirmed.
Touch: Iâm using the Ferris Wheel Press Brush pen filled with Autumn Auburn ink, also by Ferris Wheel press. Iâm writing in a Leuchttrum 1917.
Taste: Iâm drinking Olive Jasmine tea. 1.5 tsp steeped at 185 degrees for 2:00 mins. Tea sold at Premium Steap in Philadelphia.
Smell: vertiver cardamom candle by Paddywax
Sound: Freddie Hubbard and Miles Davis
Sight: Myself
Lofi study girl and I while I study my bible. Todayâs tea is a Japanese Sencha from Premium Steap, located in Philly. I love the subtle umami I get from the second steep. Iâm currently studying Habakkuk 2 for my personal study and Esther 3 for womenâs ministry.
Journaling. Letter Writing. Drinking Tea.

Fellow writeblrs/booklrs, let me recommend How To Write Anything: A Complete Guide by Laura Brown. From academic writing to content writing, this is the best resource Iâve used to writeâŚ.well, anything. It even has information on how to properly write press releases, emails, and business documents.
If you ever need help or tips with writing essays, reviews, or anything, this book will definitely be your best bet.

I recently had a mini tea party with a friend. This was the set up.
Iâm late but my bestie and I had a witchâs tea on Halloween! It was so much fun.
Cognitive Distortions (Burns, 1989)
1. All or Nothing Thinking: You look at things in absolute, black and white categories. For example. âI wonât fit inâ or âI wonât know anyone at the partyâ.
2. Mental Filter: You dwell on the negatives and ignore the positives. For example, remembering only the person who didnât acknowledge your hello as opposed to remember the dozens of people who did respond kindly.Â
3. Overgeneralization: You view a negative event as never-ending pattern of defeat. For example, âThis always happens to me, nothing ever works out.â
4. Discounting the positive: You insist that your accomplishments or positive qualities donât count. For example, âI know I am going to get in trouble because why else would my boss want to talk to me."Â
a) Mind reading: You assume that people are reacting negatively to you.
b) fortune-telling: You predict that things will turn out badly.
6. Magnification or minimization: You blow things way out of proportion or you shrink their importance. For example, "I was destroyed when those people saw me trip coming up the stairs.â
7. Emotional Reasoning: You reason from how you feel: âI feel like an idiot, so I must be one.â
8. âShouldâ statements: You criticize yourself or other people with âshouldsâ, shouldn'ts", and musts".Â
9. Labeling: Instead of saying, âI made a mistake,â you tell yourself, âI am a jerkâ, or a loser.
10. Blame: You blame yourself for something you werenât entirely responsible for, or you blame other people and overlook ways that you contribute to a problem. For example, âI let the conversation get awkward."Â
