Another hot take: one of the best endings of Gale is that he NEVER survives in a Durge run, specifically the one where you cut off his hand.
In addition, the best way to play Durge is that none of the origin companions survives in a Durge run.

I'm so exhausted I wanna puke.

Unrelated but Gale's astral romance scene in Act 2 is literally what Deftones' Rosemary sounds like.
It's 2026 I still haven't seen On Dangerous Ground and Leave Her to Heaven.
Guilty pleasure: I secretly ship Mystra with Bhaal.
Finally started trying my hands at Otis Cam and took some close-ups for my main Tav. I hope that one day my VP photos will be just as good as those screenshots of cutscenes.
I don't care how many times it happens, I will always be giggling like a little kid whenever I get to see my bg3 characters talk in game
Reblogging again because it made me want to go dig up several of my old "Tav Talks" posts, which I nevertheless found myself cringing through for many reasons—mostly because some of my characters have slightly different appearances and also that each of them wears different and/or better-looking gear. Also at least one had an incorrect voice (I think that might have been the only run that Zaf had Voice 4; she's usually 8). And, oh yeah, two of them are of a Minthara-lookalike drow Tav because for some reason I chose to do that:
Tav Talks in a Cutscene (Act 1/Voss patrol)
Tav Talks in a Cutscene Redux (Act 1/Voss patrol)
Minthara with Tav Voice 8 (Act 1/Voss patrol)
Minthara with Tav Voice 8 (Act 2 beginning via Underdark entrance)
Custom Companions Lite also allows a bit of Tav Talkery but the animation feels…lacking? I dunno, it doesn't seem as smooth for some reason.
One detail i'd like to add regarding the Voss patrol cutscene is that if your character is a dragonborn, their teeth are sealed shut while they talk, kinda like trying to talk while you're brushing your teeth. It's weird and funny cuz dragonborn NPCs have normal talking animations.
Unpopular opinion: Gale looks BETTER with his default hair than with Wizardly Updo. Man that bun just makes him look like a hipster.
they should make it illegal to end your story with an epilogue where your main female character is suddenly randomly married and has children when she's never once expressed a desire for this previously
