It was so hard to boil down everything I’ve ever read into just a couple of books, but here’s what I came up with. These books have left a lasting impression on me and I think of them often. They really have inspired me to write.

Galya is one of my favorite characters to write. She's changed the most over the drafts as she is an amalgamation of two characters. They didn't serve the plot enough to keep both, but there was enough to still need a character to fill that role.
Here's Quince! He was created alongside Nerissa 10 years ago when I wrote the first draft of Merrow and has evolved alongside her. There are so many things I want to talk about for his character but it's spoilery so I can't.
Alec's official reference sheet. I'm still trying out a new style, but I'm liking the absence of line work. He's the baby of the group, and after Nerissa, he's the one I've drawn the most. He's also one of the biggest characters in Merrow after Nerissa.
Writers block has been nasty for months, but going for something self indulgent and goofy has helped make me laugh and pick up steam
(short version: romance with an unlikely lead, rich villains getting comeuppance, goofiness)
Here's Nerissa's official character reference sheet. I finalized her design and colors and am really happy with how she turned out. Plus it was a lot of fun to do!

Day VS night🔥
Galya is one of my favorite characters to write in my WIP Merrow, but I'm still figuring out how I want to draw her. Figured a sketch page was a good idea to see how I'm defaulting to drawing her and seeing how it feels. I think I want to change her clothes, but haven't decided to what yet.
My planner layout for this week. Putting Merrow edits at the top and then I added everything else I need to do after. If it's not in my planner I probably won't remember it.
Daily habits in writing, no matter how small, can always add up to something so much bigger. Meet yourself where you're at and know that even a few words a day will one day lead you to a completed project. You got this!!

A darkness vast and bleak that weighs me down

Until the pain becomes too much until numbing
Everyone stopping, passing, and repeating
Always talking, rarely caring, never involved
The world grows stranger as family dies
Friendliness miles away and forgetting touch
Free will is further then Mars in my hand
I dream because there is nothing more
How human it is to see forever and stiffen
Needing to fill wounds and an empty stomach
Wanting to cry but nothing happens
Hoping the heart is warm before it goes
100,764 words means draft finished! I'm starting line edits soon, but also need to get some reference documents completed to make sure everything is where it should be. Once that's done I'll start looking for Beta readers. Super excited!!!
