Your pain does not define your talent. If it inspires you to create, let it, but don’t ever let anyone tell you that recovering or becoming healthy would “ruin” it.

Art - be it poetry, music, drawing, painting, crafts, writing - can be inspired by our difficult experiences, and it can help us cope, but please don’t ever feel as though you have to suffer for it to be meaningful or worthwhile.
