Scrolling on the SCP / Dr Gears tags and coming across my own art always surprises me

It really shows me the extent of my hyperfixations / special interest (?) on this subject

Not sure how I feel about Gearsberg. As long as they are both consenting adults, it’s alright.

BUT

I think a MUCH MUCH MUCH more accurate analysis of their relationship would be that Gears in some sense seems himself in Iceberg, in his entirety. Maybe he even played a part in Iceberg’s rejected promotions, in the beginning. In an attempt to prevent him from ending up like him, only to see that it was futile regardless. Eventually maybe he wanted Iceberg to be promoted, to get him out. Even though Gears himself would be stuck in the cogs of the foundation for the rest of his life. Maybe Gears wished that 10 years ago, that door had never opened for Iceberg. Maybe he wishes the same for himself even more years prior, he just can’t recognise it.

maybe he feels some sort of responsibility over iceberg’s descent. Not compassion. Just like there was a more efficient way to handle the scenario.
