After all, when you come right down to it, how many people speak the same language even when they speak the same language?

Early 1900s Large Blue John Pendant (in the online shop)
Blue John is a semi-precious stone that comes from a single cave in England. In the 18th and 19th century it was prized for details in architectural elements. Since it has a single source, and very little of it is mined today, larger architectural items fetch tens of thousands at auction now. Two months ago, Sotheby’s auctioned an important 19 inch tall Blue John vase for $338,500. Luckily you can still buy pretty pieces of Blue John in jewelry for far less.
