I make these funky little cartoon characters kiss. Cw for non-con, age difference, power imbalances, occasionally child/adult, pretty much everything you can think of.

All Raine wanted was one quiet night. One evening where they could keep to themself and go to bed without interruption.
But, of course, nothing is ever that simple for Raine Whispers. Everything has to be a battle.
They were just finishing up the last of their paperwork for the night when it happened, something about disputes over communal instruments in the Emperor's Musical Conservatory or some equally other stupid thing.
The door opened, and Raine had to fight the urge to hide the paper, a little habit they picked up from years of being in danger constantly.
"Good evening, Sprout." Terra said, walking behind their chair and putting her hands on their shoulders. They felt a spike of anxiety, not being able to see her, but they kept working as usual. Terra was always paying attention for any little hint they didn't trust her. "How are you tonight?"
They twisted back to look up with her, a practiced mix of submission and innocence on their face. "I'm well, thank you, Terra. Do you need anything?" They asked, tilting their head slightly. They hoped not, they were too tired for her to randomly drag them out to her greenhouse and lecture them on flower language for an hour.
"Oh, nothing much. I think you'll enjoy this, actually."
She leaned in, and before they had the time to process it, she was kissing them.
I don't really know what this post is, just a sort of... rambling thing on Raine and Terra's relationship. (AKA I was rewatching all the episodes with them interacting and some stuff stuck out to me)
It gives me the āØcreepsāØ
So- I suppose the Sprout thing is a good place to start. And really, can we talk about the Sprout thing?
She calls them that before she even knows their name.
Just randomly assigns it to them.
And I find the specific choice of nickname interesting- Sprout is a pretty unusual one, as plants go. It's not even specifically affectionate- though she certainly means it that way- there are several ones that are much more obviously terms of endearment (think, like, anything to do with flowers.) But no, she goes with Sprout.
A sprout is a plant at it's weakest and most defenseless. You know what a sprout is, you know how fragile they are. So the fact that Terra- someone who consistently is in positions of direct power over Raine and definitely enjoys it- chooses to call them Sprout, of all things, feels very telling. And it feels even weirder when they're an adult and she still uses the nickname.
While we're on this scene-
Can we talk about how touchy she is with them? This point is pretty self-explanatory as to why it gives me bad vibes, but- the way the vines in her hair are sort of reaching out to them before she realizes they're on call with someone?
Like this is not the only instance-
(That last one in particular, ma'am why are you holding their face like that. Also- noses are not supposed to bend that way. I tried that while watching and it's legitimately painful, so she's not opposed to directly hurting them, if that wasn't obvious already.)
And how she is so over familiar with them in TTBK despite having just met them?
She calls them a rose, for Christ's sake. (This one could arguably be about both them and Eda, but it's still not great if it isn't exclusive.)
It's a red flag.
Anyway, in conclusion- I don't think a person who would be okay with forcing children in a death maze would have a problem with abusing someone, end post.
If you asked Raine when this little thing between them and Terra began, they'd say when they were 13 or so. If you asked them when it became explicitly romantic, they'd say when they were 17.
If you asked them when they first tried to leave, they'd say when they were 26. And if you asked them when they first realized they were trapped, they'd give the same answer.

Raine doesnāt know why they do it, really. They know itās probably bad for them. They know she doesnāt really care. They know they donāt have to do this anymore, but thatās just it, really. They donāt have to.
Theyāve found themself going back to Terra, a few months after the whole Day of Unity-Collector-Belos fiasco. Sleeping with her. And they know it's wrong, they know she can't force them to do it anymore, this isn't like the castle, but they think that's the reason. It's their choice now. They're the one in control.

This, Terra⦠undressing them, has been going on for weeks, and Raine doesnāt know how much longer they can take it.
Well. They can, and they will. Thatās not the real issue. What theyāre worried about is Darius and Eberwolf. Hiding the constellation of bruises across their skin is getting harder and harder, and they think Eber already suspects something.
They just⦠they canāt know about this. They donāt know theyād be able to handle the humiliation of people knowing on top of everything.

Raine has been pretending to be brainwashed for weeks now, with what they think is success. Terra is a pain, of course, but itās manageable, and she seems to be⦠weirdly enough, fairly concerned with their happiness? She asks them about their day, how theyāre feeling, sheās offered to tweak the flavor of the tea when they mentioned it was bitter, and itās⦠kind of nice. Itās not like anyone else is this attentive.
She invites them to her greenhouse one day, and as theyāre sitting on a stone bench, taking a break from the gardening, she puts a hand on their thigh, leans in, and kisses them.
And itās wrong. Itās so, so, wrong. But they donāt⦠entirely hate it? And if they canāt say no without blowing their cover, it's not a crime to enjoy it, right?

It's 1994 in the human realm, and [whatever you think Raine's deadname is] Whispers is a fairly normal 13-year-old kid, other than the fact that they have no friends and a lot of anxiety. Oh, and they're not actually a boy/girl.
After some weird wooden-looking animal snatches their violin when they're about to go to music camp, they end up in the Boiling Isles, and they meet Terra Snapdragon, a supposed witch. She seems to be nice enough, and says they can go home if they help her retrieve a possession of hers from somewhere called the conformatorium. They agree, and along the way they tell her about their life. She's easy to talk to, in a way. They tell her about not fitting in with other boys/girls, how they feel almost like an alien, how they're constantly worrying, and Terra listens.
They retrieve her possession, and Terra says they can go home, but that they're welcome back whenever. And Raine gets an idea. They ask if they can stay a little longer. Who's gonna miss them at summer camp, anyway?
Terra has never been one to pass up an opportunity. And the idea of such a cute, isolated child living with her... Well. They asked, didn't they?

Terra knows Raine isn't brainwashed, of course. They really are a horrible actor. And she should probably tell Belos, but, well, they're so cute... and if she proposes a deal in which Raine sleeps with her in exchange for her silence, what's the harm, really? She'll say something eventually, she's just going to savor them a bit first.

So a new idea. Terra fucks Raine while they pretends their mind is under her control.
Oh, they really do! I agree~~
But yes, Raine is quite infatuated with Terra, and has been for a long time. The grooming that the older woman did to them has warped them quite a bit, leading to quite the crush (need, is more like it). With dry mouth and unsteady fingers, Raine acts as though the spell has worked (it hasn't) and does as asked of the Plant Coven head, all while Terra has the time of her life. Raine could just fight back and fuck off as best they can - it would probably be quite easy to overpower Snapdragon - but deep down, they're in utter bliss, unable to control their groans of ecstasy as their mentor uses them like the rapist she is.
But it's taking all of Raine's energy to not lose control and drop the act, and pin Terra down themselves.
