This house for a family of five is located on Sukhumvit Rd., Soi 101/1, next to their old house where they had been living since long time ago. According to the scale of the site and owner’s love of nature, open space, and gardening give an initial idea for this house design. All functions are packed and stacked into 3-storeys to provide the most open space possible on the ground level. Functional usages are one master bedroom with master bathroom for parents, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for sons, a living/dining space, a working room, an open kitchen, a Thai kitchen and a lap pool.
Roman Cats Turn A Historic Site Into Cat Haven
In Rome, many stray and feral cats have found a haven amid the ruins at Torre Argentina. The Julius Caesar’s assassination site has been turned into a cat sanctuary for many homeless cats. The Torre Argentina Roman Cat Sanctuary spay and neuter these cats and keep them healthy and fed. “People are interested more in the cats than in monuments,” says Lia Dequel, one of the shelter’s founders. “The two together are fantastic… because monuments come alive if you see a cat lying on it, or jumping from one pillar to another.” (npr) Torre Argentina is home to about 250 feline friends, sheltered amongst the oldest temples in Rome (400-300 BC). Seven days a week volunteers from different countries, feed, clean and look after them. In 2012 alone, they spayed and neutered 3013 cats as well as 125 cats placed in homes.

Aortic arch derivatives mnemonic images -HD images here
I made these diagrams guessing these will be helpful ^__^
The greater part of the first and second artery disappear. In adult life first arch artery is represented by the maxillary artery and the second arch persists for some part of fetal life as the stapedial artery. The mnemonic people use for that is, “First is max" & "Second is Stapedial" =)
Mnemonic for third arch artery: ”C for Carotid, C the third letter of the alphabet.” The third arch artery gives off a bud that grows cranially to form the external carotid artery. The internal carotid artery is derived from the distal part of the third arch artery and cranial most part of the dorsal aorta. The brachiocephalic trunk is formed by the right horn of the aortic sac.
Mnemonic for fourth arch artery: "fOUR rhymes with AOR for Aorta. fouRS for Right Subclavian.” The ascending aorta is formed from the truncus arteriosus. The arch of aorta is derived from the vental part of the aortic sac, it’s left horn and the left fourth arch artery.
Mnemonic for sixth arch artery: Well, this is lame but the letter 6 looks like lungs to me =D Pulmonary trunk is derived from truncus arteriosus.
Mnemonic for subclavian artery: "7 is S." Seventh InterSegmental Subclavian! The right subclavian artery is derived from the right fourth arch artery and right seventh cervical intersegmental artery. On the left side, the subclavian is derived entirely from the seventh cervical intersegmental artery. That’s all! Hope you had fun learning ^__^ -IkaN
Merry Moonday Monday! Saturn has dozens of moons but these are the seven biggest.
Mimas is the smallest known astronomical body to be round thanks to its own gravity. A large crater makes it look a lot like the Death Star.
Enceladus is an icy, geologically active moon that spews water vapor from cryovolcanoes.
Tethys is basically a ball of ice. It’s one of the moons discovered by the man Giovanni Cassini, and later photographed by the space probe Cassini.
Dione has about the same orbital radius as the Earth’s moon. It completes exactly one orbit for every two orbits of Enceladus.
Iapetus is a two-toned moon - one side is darkened by residue left by sublimating ice, thanks to the uneven heating of the two hemispheres.
Rhea has an extremely thin atmosphere of oxygen and carbon dioxide
Titan is larger than the Earth’s moon and the planet Mercury. It has a thick, nitrogen-rich atmosphere and liquid lakes. But those lakes aren’t filled with water - they’re filled with liquid methane!
Happy Saturnalia!
This is what Mars would look like if it had Earth like oceans and life. Kevin Gill, a software engineer living in New Hampshire, made these projections.
There have been a lot of good memes this year but I think the underdog meme of 2014 is “shaming aesthetic bloggers who unnecessarily submerge things in water that should not be submerged in water”

龚贤 - 金碧山水
by Gong Xian (Qing dynasty)
*There’s a special style in Chinese landscape painting called 青绿山水Qinglu shanshui which uses mineral dyes to complete the artwork. Those artworks have major green and blue colors. During Song Dynasty, artists and scholars added 泥金 (made of glue and powdered gold or other metals) to the dyeing materials. These landscape paintings are 金碧山水 Jinbi shanshui.
