It's not about some bullshit casual connection. It's about misery and pain. It's all about a heart-wrenching despair. The intertwining of two lives that once knitted and woven together, these threads so intricately stretched, that to separate them is to fundamentally destroy it. I state, with utter fucking declamation that I refuse something frail and meaningless. Unless my heart is at risk of being torn asunder, I will not bother you with a second glance. Once I invite you inside my home, I expect us to die together. The captain never abandons the ship and I will circumnavigate the entirety of the human heart and our collective experience if it means I get to sweep you up into my arms after a long, long day of brooding and working my hands to the bone. This isn't a subtle romance, nor is it one I particularly wish to share about, but we need to be mad, ravenous beasts, or we must never ever exist to one another. This is a sacrament and is something we've coveted beneath the covers of our beds, forgetting the hours that've passed, bled away as we've linked hands and our softest, most delicate skin as we attempt to find feeling in the darkest shadiest nooks of our king-sized sanctuary. We breathe the same air and our hearts pump the same frenzied blood, or we're forever spectres lingering in the shadows of some grand, forgotten chateau.
