âYou donât know anyone at the party, so you donât want to go. You donât like cottage cheese, so you havenât eaten it in years. This is your choice, of course, but donât kid yourself: itâs also the flinch. Your personality is not set in stone. You may think a morning coffee is the most enjoyable thing in the world, but itâs really just a habit. Thirty days without it, and you would be fine. You think you have a soul mate, but in fact you could have had any number of spouses. You would have evolved differently, but been just as happy. You can change what you want about yourself at any time. You see yourself as someone who canât write or play an instrument, who gives in to temptation or makes bad decisions, but thatâs really not you. Itâs not ingrained. Itâs not your personality. Your personality is something else, something deeper than just preferences, and these details on the surface, you can change anytime you like. If it is useful to do so, you must abandon your identity and start again. Sometimes, itâs the only way.â

Letter to my love #3
Sometimes I think we are peas in a pod. Because we are so similar in temperament, sentiments and the enormous capacity to love.
But, we came from the most extremes of family background, upbringing and cultures. I still can't figure out how two people who experienced so little in common came to be one of the most agreeable pair I can imagine.
Neither of us are ones to trust easily. You have had yours betrayed, I watched people closest to me turned on each other, my adolescent years raised in hatred.
Isn't it curious how we completely threw ourselves at each other, and never once looked back? I surprised myself. Was I not supposed to be distrustful? What about you, how did you take the leap of faith after what you've been through?
I have so many questions for the universe. But I also have an answer that I know to be true. I believe people have soulmates. I believe there are people you are meant to meet. I seriously don't know what else can explain us.
May be it takes drastic steps like moving to the other side of the world. May be it only takes a trip to the grocery store. But you will meet them. And you will know when you do. I have to say though, you should take all your chances. Because it could be over in a blink, and I don't want you to regret.
