aichi: literally my favorite character but i don't really care. the only thing that matters to me is that he's queer, and he is. i tend to use canon pronouns with him

kai: Oh my god dude. homotron3000 its literally true you just have to watch the series. my kai is usually agender and discontent with whatever he's got going on. i like to entertain the concept of trans kai as well though 🤔

ren: TRANSFEM BIGENDER REN FOREVER. she's literally a girl i'm sorry to everyone that disagrees you just fail to see it and it's not my issue. sometimes i wish the half skirt was an actual skirt (i got tricked many times by official art) but it has its charm too. generally just androgynous i don't think she'd care much

misaki: transmasc lesbian its True... i cant see misaki with a man ever. i really loved her short hair i think both long and short suit her... i don't know abt others but misaki always looks androgynous to me. i love the fact her uniform is different too

kamui: idk my friends have been telling me about v kamukyou ever since i started watching 😭😭😭 but definitely bi you just need to give it time i believe...

kourin: literally my favorite character (yes again). he's transmasc and bisexual and you have to believe me IM SERIOUS it's such a dear hc to me. i think his position as an idol makes it impossible to transition for the time being, but i can imagine a future where that does not bind him. i fully believe he'd keep long hair, but i find funny the thought of kourin with his hair cut short. if you ever see a drawing of mine of kourin with a high ponytail that's usually my design for tmasc kourin :-) i use canon pronouns sometimes as well, i love kourin even beyond my headcanon

asaka: comphet superhell. i fully believe asaka is lesbian. but. comphet superhell. mixed with the fact she's mentally ill. i think its a mix of her desire to conform (heterosexuality) and unhealthy idolization, i have other thoughts on this matter... it looks like i'm making shit up because i am. like my friend once said i am better at loving asaka than vanguard itself. she's pretty fem and comfortable in that. also if anyone wants to talk about asaka with me please tell i #love her

kyou: uses great/greatself (kyou/sama) pronouns. idk he's like 12 he has yet to figure anything out. he's queer though it's just that labels are irrelevant in his case atm. called ren the f slur at least once

miwa: arospec for sure..... doesn't particularly care in that matter

naoki: bisexual but like. he's figuring it out. a couple more months for naoki ishida please

gouki and nagisa are cishet. gouki is an ally until anything has to do with nagisa. raul serra is also cishet because i don't like him

i like drawing kourin as a hauntingly faceless figure not only from someone else's perspective of a person who still exists in this world but whose previous self is practically dead but also because no matter at what point you take kourin in the series there's always this lack of a formed identity outside of a role that was previously given. its strongest is at the point its about to fade away.

thats also why im serious about trans kourin. kourin literally lives since the earliest moment shown (in the flashback with rekka suiko and takuto) as someone who has been unwillingly given a role that prevents him from truly being someone. from the isolation that comes from both the role assigned by takuto to upholding the image of an idol kourins basically living through by repressing and not knowing himself. everything that counts as kourin's *own decision* in link joker and legion mate is still something conditioned by the desperation of those situations and absolutely tied to the person he is in relation to being a tatsunagi (and despite that, that's the version of himself he can't bear letting go of). i want to see kourin having the possibility of choosing who to be and not getting cut off as he learns every new side of himself. all my g era kourins are trans because it is also a representation of kourin being able to start anew as the person his circumstances previously denied him to be :)
