Their plane crashes and they're the only two passengers left alive. They wash ashore on a small, tropical island.

Adam gets resourceful.

Ronan gets sunburnt.

Luggage starts washing up on the beach so they have some supplies, and they build their own little huts out of bamboo and giant leaves. One night, a storm blows through and Ronan's hut collapses, so he shows up at Adam's. Boom, there's I didn't know where else to go and there was only one bed.

Adam forages for food and eats something mildly toxic but not deadly and gets a fever, and Ronan ends up taking care of him. Boom, there's your hurt comfort.

They're literally stranded on an island together and dislike each other muchly for whatever reason (even though Adam has been horny for Ronan since he saw Ronan lining up to board the plane). Boom, there's not if you were the last man on earth.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg! It can fit so. many. tropes!

Again thinking how there is no desert island Pynch fic. 😔 Gansey could mount a full-scale search and rescue. Declan would pull every string he could to get the Coast Guards of several countries involved. When Adam and Ronan are finally found, they're a little disappointed because they've become self-sustaining and hate other people and would happily stay on their desert island together forever.
