Geralt is nearly a century old, and while I am fine with age gap relationships, there won't be any involving muses who knew each other when one was an adult and the other was a minor.

Interactions

Best way to interact with me is sending in memes. I make my answers to prompts into separate text posts and tag the sender in them so we may continue them into threads. You don't have to continued them, but I encourage it.

When you send in memes, please specify which muse it is for, I am less likely to answer when I have no idea who you want to write with, or which muse of yours you'd like a prompt written for.

I love, love, love shipping, but I never expect a ship. However, many of my muses are very flirty and easily fall in love, and I won't change that about them. I am all for unrequited love and unreciprocated feelings in interactions, just realize it is never to try and force a ship. That being said, if you want to ship, just let me know! I'm pretty open about any and all ships, crackships, cross-ships, toxic ships, familial, platonic life partners... all of the ships.

Muses are sporadic and subject to change, some muses are stronger than others and some may go dormant for a while. My muses are open to anyone in any fandom, though, so feel free to throw your muses at any of my active ones!

Jaskier wakes up in a panic. It's been happening on and off for a while now. These nightmares are exhausting and he knows Geralt is no fool, he must know that they are happening.

Nightmares about being burned. He still recalls that experience like it was yesterday. He can feel the phantom feeling of being burned and when he stares down at his hands, he does not see burn marks, telling him that it was just another nightmare.

But, these nightmares feel so real. They often startle him awake, leaving him gasping for breath and a cold sweat upon his features. Tonight is no different. Geralt's grounding touch is a comfort and wild eyes that had been looking around to see where he was turns to Geralt instead, finding comfort in inhuman eyes as he stares at him with such concern.

"I don't think I could go back to sleep even if I wanted to." Jaskier mutters quietly, voice low enough for only Geralt to hear. He will not let anyone else know just how little sleep he gets lately, Geralt knowing is bad enough.

It seems that all Geralt does these days is worry about the people he loves and cares for. He worries he is pushing everyone too hard, which is why he'd prefer to just go off and find Ciri on his own. He worries about where Ciri is and what could be happening to her, how well she's doing surviving on her own, what condition she'll be in when they finally find her.

But right now in this moment, he worries most about his sweet bard and what this journey is doing to him. He has already been through so much pain and troubles, anguish and torture, and it's all because Jaskier started following him around in Posad like an anxious puppy.

Jaskier, he thinks, would be so much better without Geralt in his life. It was one of the reasons why he was so harsh to him on that mountain on that fateful day that seems like it was a lifetime ago now. So much has changed since then, so much as been revealed since then, and he wonders now if it was just foolish and selfish to have brought the bard back into his chaotic life.

"Then don't sleep. Just rest." Geralt says softly, shifting a bit so he can tug on the bard and pull him into his lap, yellow cat-eyes reflecting the light of the dying fire. "I'll keep watch."

jaskier makes his way over with little fuss , the witcher huddled in a corner as he so often is. the fresh drink in his hand will just be drunk by him if geralt doesn't fancy it , but he offers it wordlessly as he sits. knows he isn't as skilful at being quiet when tipsy ramblings take over , and so his head rests against geralt's shoulder as he says it soft. tries to keep the delicate worry from his tone but it doesn't work. never does.

No, nothing's all right.

It's the answer that Geralt wants to growl out as the bard approaches his little corner of solitude he'd claimed for the rest of the evening. Back protected, a full view of the entire room and the occupants within; including their host, a curiously kind elderly man that is setting off all the bells and whistles of the Witcher's senses. He's still not sure what to think of Regis, as helpful as he has been. Between the mandrake wine and his unnervingly calming demeanor, Geralt can't help but feel suspicious of his motives.

No one is that hospitable without wanting something in return, this is a truth Geralt knows all too well in his decades of dealing with people, human or not. "I'm... fine, Jask. As fine as I can be." Geralt mutters, curling his arms already crossed over his chest a little tighter. Not a lie, not the whole truth either.

"I am just anxious to be on our way. We shouldn't dawdle long."

It isn't often that he finds Jaskier waking fretfully in the night as the Witcher watches over camp, but these last few days have been particularly trying on his bard. Head injuries and monsters, and they are no closer to finding Ciri. Plus, it seems with every step they take they adopt a new stray that Geralt finds himself having difficulty trusting or accepting into this journey.

Geralt remains wary of them all, save Milva, and that is probably why he seems a bit more protective over his bard.

So he is not far from Jaskier's side when the poet awakes startled and disoriented, and Geralt reaches his hand out to gently place it on his shoulder. He's hoping to soothe the poet and assure him that Geralt is there. The faintest of smiles rests on his lips as he gives Jaskier's shoulder a gentle squeeze.

"I am here, and I'm not going anywhere, Jask." Geralt says quietly, speaking low so as not to wake the others. Zoltan's snoring drones on from the other side of the campsite, but for the most part they are far removed from the rest of their group.

"You should go back to sleep. We've a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

Geralt does not believe that statement for a second. He knows that Jaskier stayed behind at the tavern to make coin his way while Geralt dealt with the Rusalka in the forest beside the river just outside the edge of town. He'd truly expected for the bard to retire to their shared room in the tavern when he'd finally made it back to the town to claim the bounty in the middle of the night.

Instead, he sees Jaskier standing outside the tavern when he finally arrives back, and Geralt can't help feel a little guilty at the chance he might have caused his bard to worry.

"Just happened to be standing out in the cold instead of sleeping soundly in our bed for the night?" Geralt asks, a small smirk held on his lips, then gestures to the tavern with a raised brow.

"We do have a bed for the night, don't we, Jask? Please tell me you didn't do something to piss off the barkeep and we'll have to share the stables with Roach..."
