Happy Pride, I went totally off the rails making pride flags on the loom
Because I figure folks are going to ask for them, here’s how I pull these all off with some examples. Also I got my ideas for the basic principles from @minecrafing back when he first shared a post about making pride banners when banner dyes became a thing!!
This is going to be long and full of images but I’m going to provide example images and Rules Of Thumb below!
Things To Keep In Mind when Dyeing –
You can only use up to 6 colors per banner. Sometimes depending on the effect you want you can use a colored banner as your base instead of a white one, which will save you the trouble of dying it over.
Stripes work in halves and thirds. This is essential for getting all your stripes!
Borders can be used aesthetically as your first OR last color on your flag of choice! It’s up to you!
Sometimes you won’t get all the colors on there because of the limitations of dyeing the banners. (See: gay flag, aro flag) All this means is you get to make variants! Oh no! MORE FLAGS! THE HORROR.
DYE FROM THE INSIDE OUT, especially if you have a lot of colors!
Using the “4 vertical stripes” pattern will help you get the “sandwich effect” for flags with color gradients/symmetrical patterns (demigender, bigender, agender). In this case, it’s a good idea to have your banner color already pre-dyed as the center stripe, and the 4 vertical stripes will be dyed with the color “sandwiching” the center stripe. After that, you will dye the next color in 3rds, and the outermost color as the border.
For flags with 3 colors only, the effect is different based on if you dye in halves or thirds. Dying in halves on either side, with the central color as the “center stripe” pattern, will produce a smaller middle stripe. If you want them even, you have to dye the outside colors in thirds. In this case, the middle color can be achieved by either dyeing the entire banner the middle color in halves, or having the banner pre-dyed as the middle color.
Chevron effects rely on the big triangles and the triplet triangles! The large triangle should be dyed first as the bottom color to the chevron, and then the triplets as the top color to the chevron.
If you have stripes AND a chevron, the chevron goes last!
EXAMPLE: DEMIGIRL (Sandwiching Symmetrical Color)
STEP 1: MIDDLE COLOR IS YOUR BANNER COLOR
STEP 2: 4 VERTICAL STRIPES as the First Sandwich
STEP 3: Dye the left and right sides in THIRDS for the Second Sandwich
STEP 4: The Outside Sandwich is the border color!
EXAMPLE: BISEXUAL FLAG (LIL STRIPE VS BIG STRIPE)
STEP 1: MIDDLE COLOR is your BANNER COLOR
or, if you only have a white banner to work with -
STEP 1: Dye both halves the middle color
STEP 2: Dye the left color in thirds
STEP 3: Dye the right color in thirds
As you can see, this creates stripes that are evenly sized!
TINY STRIPE METHOD can be used on a plain white banner!
STEP 1: Dye the left half
STEP 2: Dye the right half
STEP 3: Dye the middle with the center stripe pattern
This makes the center color a wee bit smaller!
EXAMPLE: INCLUSIVE GAY FLAG (CHEVRONS AND STRIPES)
this demonstrates how you can “cheat” by using a colored banner as a base, to avoid running out of permissible dye usage. It also reinforces how to dye your flag from the inside out.
STEP 1: your banner color should be the INSIDE LEFT or INSIDE RIGHT color.
STEP 2: Dye the other half of your banner (in this case, dye the right side blue because we’re starting with green)
STEP 3: Dye the left third
STEP 4: Dye the right third
STEP 5: Dye the border color
STEP 6: Dye the lower chevron color with the BIG TRIANGLE
STEP 7: Dye the upper chevron color with the TRIPLET TRIANGLES
And that’s it! That’s how you make your pride banners in minecraft!!
GO FORTH BE PROUD HAPPY PRIDE

Revisited another old, old build from 2014 that I once again have not finished! This version is actually a copy; the real one is located in The End (which is why it’s mainly made of obsidian bricks and bedrock), but none of my shaders would work there, so I had to transfer it to the overworld.
It’s supposed to be the Ender Dragon’s castle; it has enchanting rooms, potion rooms, two treasuries on the sides as well as a huge lobby as you enter. Certain parts have flowing water, which are meant to act as walls since Endermen can’t get wet. In-progress parts include the Royal Hall, the Queen’s bedroom, the weaponry/armory, training area, portal room, and a lot more!

My new survival house.... it’s a work in progress.
Pic 1 has shaders but...... with the 1.14 update and this bein’ a realm, my shaders aren’t workin anymore... I await patiently for their return
