"Miss Cacturne lady, as much fun as it is to watch Burghie getting teased, I think Iâm happy with being the one to tease him."
"Hm? Oh hello."
"Hi Miss Cacturne Lady. I'm Emmet."
"Miss Cacturne lady, as much fun as it is to watch Burghie getting teased, I think I'm happy with being the one to tease him."
"Am I gonna lose my boyfriend to my brother?"
"Heâll be excited to see youâŠ" Burgh looked down and paled a little, remembering what Ingo had been through with him⊠And what Burgh had told Ingo because of the events between him and Emmet. "Hey uhâŠ" He toed the cobblestone under foot, "Why didnât you say anythingâŠ?"
Emmet tilted his head a bit, confused about what Burgh meant. âWhy didnât I say what?â He had no idea what the other was talking about.
"Like that you were heading out and all." Burgh finally managed to look at Emmet with a small frown.
"It was sudden. Iâm sorry if you were upset that I just left without a word."`
Burgh blinked owlishly at Emmet and gave him a small pained smile. âMe too.â He laughed a little and looked at the pair in front of them then to the large looming wheel. âOh I have a new little addition to my Gym. Heâs a little Caterpie my Leavanny hatched. Not Levi but my battler.â He tucked his hands behind his back, smiling at the fact there were maybe 4 couple left in front of them.
"He must be a cutie. I just know someone even cuter than any baby Bug." Emmet smiled, swaying on his spot some.

"Oh they have Pelipers?! Next time send me a letter you know. I wouldnât mind seeing one."
"They only carry packages with letters. I would have to get you something to send a letter with it."
"Bummer!" He looked forward and grinned, "Weâre almost there! Yeah!!" He fiddled with the hem of his tank top. "Seen your brother yet?"
"Not yet. He thinks I'm still at Mom and Dad's. I was suppose to be there for a while longer." The line was much shorter than when they started, a good sign for them.
"Oh they have Pelipers?! Next time send me a letter you know. I wouldn't mind seeing one."
"They only carry packages with letters. I would have to get you something to send a letter with it."
Emmet found himself blushing a bit at the offer. They hadnât brought that kind of stuff up in a long time. âThey took my phone. And they donât have any way to get service out there with my wireless.â
Burgh raised an eyebrow at Emmetâs blush and realized what that could have sounded like, âAh⊠I see.â He looked at the line and found them a bit closer, â And Wingull mail takes forever so it wouldnât have been as entertaining.âÂ
"Yeah. They have Pelipper service around there."
"I donât mind, hun." Burgh offered Emmet a smile, "Was it fun with your parents?"Â
"Thereâs almost nothing to do there. Gal and the others donât like it much either."
Burgh shuffled forward as the line moved up, âIâm sorry to hear that. But at least you got out and about.â He rubbed the back of his neck and peeked at Emmet, âI could have entertained you.â He snickered to hide the fact that there wasnât much warning or contact.Â
Emmet found himself blushing a bit at the offer. They hadn't brought that kind of stuff up in a long time. "They took my phone. And they don't have any way to get service out there with my wireless."
Burgh looked at the long line and tapped his chin thoughtfully, âWell next weekend is Motherâs Day⊠I think. Maybe itâs a date day today? You know where they do the whole stopping thing at the topâŠâ He shifted on his feet as they waited in line, swing their hands idly, âSooâŠâÂ
He looked at Burgh. âI donât mind waiting if you donât.â
"I donât mind, hun." Burgh offered Emmet a smile, "Was it fun with your parents?"Â
"There's almost nothing to do there. Gal and the others don't like it much either."
"I see." Burgh kept the little smile on his face and felt bad for dirtying up Emmetâs gloves. "Ah it looks so much taller." He snickered and the smile grew. He still enjoyed seeing Emmet happy, nothing could really change that. He didnât think it ever could. "Have they made it larger?" He teased a bit as they walked under the archway and into the amusement park.Â
"Nope. Itâs just been a while." There rarely was a line for the ride, but for some reason, there was quite a few people waiting to get on. "There must be something special today."

He looked at Burgh. "I don't mind waiting if you don't."
"Yeah. They just wanted one of us at home for a while." He gave a little squeeze to Burghâs hand. "Look! There it is!" He was all excited as soon as the Ferris wheel came into view.

"As much as you would probably like to, Big Brother, don't break my sweet little stick bug."
"Ah! Emmet!" Burgh stiffened in the huh and blinked down at the dirt blotches now covering Emmetâs front. "Well⊠I wonât stick out like a sore thumb now. Iâm sorry about the outfit though." He gave him a soft smile and tugged on Emmetâs shirt sleeve, "Come on. I havenât been up there in awhile." He shouldered his backpack to be more comfortable and lead them towards the amusement park to the Ferris wheel.
He giggled a bit again, reaching for the otherâs hand. âSorry I went away for a while. I got really busy then our parents needed one of us. I told Ingo heâs more responsible but he said that just meant the subway would be in better hands.â He trotted along with the other towards the amusement park.
"Oh. I was wondering. Is every thing ok with them?" Burgh looked to their hands and held on with a gentle hold. The heat was still there but his heart seemed caught in his throat.
"Yeah. They just wanted one of us at home for a while." He gave a little squeeze to Burgh's hand. "Look! There it is!" He was all excited as soon as the Ferris wheel came into view.

Emmet giggled softly. âOh did I surprise you?â
"You might have. Maybe." Burgh kept his spot and his shoulders hunched, "Did you hear the mating call? I didnât think I was that loud."Â
"I heard the sound of you in Nimbasa. So I figured we could maybe go and ride the Ferris wheel together."
Burgh looked up at Emmet with a half smile, âI guess I was pretty loud. Guess Iâm lucky more didnât come.â He felt his stomach drop, âUhm⊠Well I guess we could. If you donât mind me dirty.â Burgh was still in his hiking clothes. âSorry.â
Emmet didn't say a word. All he did was just grab Burgh into a hug, getting his nice white uniform dirty. "There. We are both dirty now."
