When I got to where Arthur dies, I had to stop the game and just sob. Now, I’m definitely one to always be emotional and always be super involved in something I love and care about, but I literally just laid in my bed and s o b b e d.

After like an hour of this, I kept asking myself wtf, why, why are you like this, why is a video game doing this to me.

And then it hit me.

I cried so hard because this game, literally feels like you’re apart of it. It feels like you met Arthur and you know Arthur, and he was a friend. And then he’s just…gone. And you know it’s going to happen, you know what’s coming, but you’re still not ready for it, because it’s someone you know. It’s someone you’re involved with. It’s someone who you watched grow and develop and really just come to know.

So thank you Rockstar, for allowing me the opportunity and the privilege to know Arthur Morgan.

Sadie has so many flaws but I love her with all my heart

We get so many male characters who are deeply flawed and complicated (including sad conflicted self-loathing cowboah Arthur Morgan). Female characters rarely get the luxury of deeply flawed complexity. They don’t get to be emotionally fucked up. They rarely get to have uncomfortable and negative emotions that can’t be resolved in a single conversation of “Gosh, you’re right, being angry isn’t helpful!” without it shoving them into villain territory. So I love Sadie Adler in part BECAUSE she has so many flaws, and she’s allowed, as her character is allowed in game to “run with the men” and it not being treated as a big damn deal, to stand alongside so many male characters in that aspect too.

One of Sadies "flaws" (depending who you ask) that I love the most is just how vengeful she is toward the O'Driscolls. It's not often you get to see a woman in media have real, genuine ANGER like Sadie has. She takes any chance she can get to exact her rightful revenge, and she does it screaming and with burning rage, its refreshing to see a female character be allowed to have so much emotion, especially an emotion generally considered "unladylike". Hell hath no fury, the great saying goes...
