I hadn’t realized that this was a thing until recently, but there is this conservative “advocacy” group referred to as One Million Moms that is proving to be one of the main reasons why shows like Dead End Paranormal Park and The Owl House (both shows with queer rep) have been cancelled recently.

Their motive is to try and “provide kids with a safe entertainment experience” by erasing queer rep, but that will do more harm than good. Queer representation does not “turn one gay”; it provides viewers authentic representation that reflects how they feel/identify, allowing themselves to flourish within their own identities. As a queer person myself, this deeply hurts me. As well as an aspiring film writer with so many queer characters that I adore, the idea of having my (and other’s) work shut down is enough to break my heart entirely. And I know that so many others are feeling the same way! Representation is so beyond important!!

There was a dramatic display of Zantedeschia (arum lily, calla lily) cultivars at the Royal Horticultural Society Hampton Court Flower Show. These can be hardy for garden use depending on the severity of winters and soil conditions. Plants require a sheltered position in full sun.

An organization I like to donate to is the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women, the only org in the US that works to defend victims of domestic violence who have been charged with crimes, usually for harming their abusers in self-defense, “failing to protect” their children in dv situations or “kidnapping” their children while fleeing violence. Thinking about them as we’re thinking about legal retaliation against domestic violence victims!

to my fellow usamericans….in light of the supreme court overturning roe v wade, well known organizations like planned parenthood dont need your money right now - they have plenty - if you’re going to donate, donate to your local or state abortion funds

I want fallout to be a true role playing game like the first 2. I want all of the dialog options to have consequences. And for dialog to not just be a list of things to talk about and not even be anything that affects the story. It's just NPCs telling you lore basically. Being good or evil have very little consequences. The enclave still attack you, the talon company don't like try to recruit you or anything. It's just. I love fallout so much. It just needs to matter more. Instead of being a settlement builder or dating Sim in the post apocalypse. I want the actions of the minutemen to matter more. Or the gunners to acknowledge your actions if you're evil or whatever. Or certain companions are attacked, like Danse or V6-88 if they go into the railroad. Strong and John aren't welcome in Diamond city. It's difficult to get into Diamond city! Settlers actually evolve in some way idk! And I want a multi-player fallout, not online game play. I want to sit next to someone and play split screen. Why isn't that done anymore? 2+ player games are nye impossible to find anymore. I so dislike online game play. People are mean.

Fallout is a post apocalypse game. It is not for children and should not be so censored and watered down. I don't want to sit here and act like I want a game full of r*pe, etc. HOWEVER, it's the frickin wasteland. There are no laws. There are raiders ffs. Some grainy bodies tied to beds is just so boring. Their stories are so bland and vanilla and not the kind of brutal and depraved real raiders would be.

I so dislike Bethesda. But I so love Fallout.

In my mind, abortion isn't complicated.

It's very much an absolute yes for me. Entirely. I am not thinking twice about it or being shy about it.

That doesn't mean I don't value life. That doesn't mean I don't know the consequences of my actions.

It's a lump of organic material. And I don't want a kid.

I do not trust any male enough to have a child with them anyway.

And who fucking cares if I'm not 100% certain? I'm allowed to do basically everything else that's extremely life changing without being persecuted and put under a microscope making sure I'm sure I want to do that thing.

Just admit you hate women and we can all go home.
