Ax, I promise you won't always be known as Elfangor's little brother. You're not gonna like why.
"I couldn't let him go thinking I was mad at him." Oof.
I have to wonder what sort of threat the Andalites' predecessors faced to require THREE hearts. I mean, I guess having one in each torso, but what would the third one be for?
I still find it odd that human morphs can't thought-speak. It's still a morph, and I can't remember if their other speech-capable morphs still had thought-speak. Something for me to consider during the reread.
Their precious Seerow's Kindness laws can fuck straight off.
I remember coming into this one thinking it was really odd after spending the first several books with the human Animorphs. With more thorough background knowledge courtesy of the rest of the series, early Ax's superiority grinds my gears. Not his fault though.
If you want to live through this, Ax, you gotta trust them. You're gonna be the only Andalite for a good long while. Trust your team.
Isn't Jake the one that said Earth was a tough neighborhood? And didn't he say it to the yeerk in his head?
They have to have more yeerks than they have host bodies. Wouldn't it be better to just pass the hosts on to other yeerks? Yes, that would mean having to keep more people in the rotation for the Kandrona, but killing "pre-broken" hosts seems wasteful. (I'm blaming you for that thought, @thejakeformerlyknownasprince)
Rachel considers you a friend, actually. For the record.
I definitely haven't read the Hork Bajir Chronicles lately, but I don't remember about anything about them periodically fighting each other. Continuity error or Andalite inaccurate belief? Or I'm wrong and it's in there.
"As all human fathers are" makes me have all sorts of questions about what weird gender shenanigans Ax has seen in the rest of the galaxy.
"My eyes were bulging from my head. My skin was tingling. My stomach was making sounds." I know he doesn't know much about the human body but honey you're gonna regret that if you don't morph out.
Aww, getting grumpy Cassie is an estreen and he isn't.
It hasn't occurred to them yet that the yeerks might know about the surprise updates to the radio telescope, has it?
"Many centuries ago". What is an Andalite's average lifespan, or is he exaggerating because Ax is young and like most young people thinks anyone older than him is ancient?
Pinning the blame on Ax for his brother's dying wish is... cruel. Given what we learn of the Andalite civilians later on, I don't think they would have been upset with what he'd done. He would have still been their beloved hero.
Okay, forgot this guy being the one to give Ax the location where Visser Three feeds. Is this the only time we have a yeerk with at least implied romantic interest in another yeerk?
I'm glad Ax is questioning their laws already.
Alloran, morph and run! You can escape! Just - ugh! I know he wouldn't have anywhere near the depth of experience the kids have in morphing desperately but rattlesnake venom shouldn't be strong enough to keep him from concentrating to morph.
"They are on the home world." Another lost plot point I guess.
Who wants to tell Ax that he really is just like his brother? Minus the marrying a human thing.
