Christmas dinner
to everyone’s surprise its Walter and Abby that get into the first fight
ben is the one that hangs mistletoe everywhere
vincent and wukong get caught underneath one at one point
andy managed to take a picture at the moment they both realized it and had horrified expressions
wukong just starts teleporting from room to room after that
at some point there’s a large group standing by the tree telling embarrassing stories
please add to this @uhobi @whoopsimadeamess
Whitney stayed up the night before to prep the turkey and food for the dinner.
Proceeds to face plant into sweet potato because of exhaustion.
there’s a bit of a panic until they realized shes just asleep
vincent goes to carry her to bed
literally everyone in the room except ben and the cat is physically stronger than vincent and is giving them a look
whitney ends up waking up
Raindrop is pregnant
she still managed to climb up the christmas tree
Christmas tree falls and lands on Eric He makes a tree hugger joke Whitney tries not to cry from how much time she put into the tree
"The managers a vampire. He wanted me to join his legion of the undead."
Looking up from her tea biscuit, Whitney gave a small chuckle before nodding.
“Oh really? Your dad isn’t going to be happy about that.”
Wendy went to take a sip, but paused with the cup at her lips, smirking. “Make sure to put up plenty of mistletoe. I heard Andy’s friend is gay~” Siiiiiiiip.
Snickering at her comment, Whitney nodded before waving her had.
“Oh trust me i’ve got the house mapped out. I know exactly where every sprig is going to go....Now i can’t say that i advise playing matchmaker...buuuut this is one exception i’ll make.”

Wendy smiled. “We could get some of those clear globes and make different charms to make things homier. Do you know if Andy is coming this year? I haven’t gotten to meet that soldier friend of her’s yet. Wonder if he’d get along with Arik.”
"I'm not sure...it's been a while since I've talked to her too! Things have been so busy lately...seems like I should invite all our friends over for Christmas dinner."
Taking a long sip from her cup, she furrowed her brows in thought.
"I have a feeling they would!"

“As am i……Perhaps i should visit him later on today…I have his christmas gift already wrapped so i can also give that to him.”
“That’d be nice….. I should be home this year for Christmas.”
"Oh? That's good! Maybe you can give me some ideas on what we should do with the tree. It seems just a bit too plain this year..."
"The managers a vampire. He wanted me to join his legion of the undead."

“It’s going to be tough going on and living in a different time period with those he knows gone, eh?” Her tone was gentle.
Opening her mouth for a moment, she closed it and gave a long sigh. Ouch...She knew how that felt for sure.
“Perhaps....i can help him cope with that. I’ve some experience in that problem.”
"The managers a vampire. He wanted me to join his legion of the undead."

“Eh, you know what dad’d say about nirvana.” Wendy winked. “.. But yeah… It’s nice they don’t kill each other. Have you talked to Walter recently? Last I heard heard he had just become immortal and was dealing with that.”
“The band is much better than any sort of ‘heaven’…yeah just what he would say.”
Giving a light chuckle, she went to take a sip of her tea but choked on it before she could swallow.
“Immortal? I do suppose it has been a while since I’ve spoken to him…”
“Wait, you didn’t know? Oh boy, well, yeah.” Wendy rubbed her neck awkwardly. “ Walter had been getting sick.. along with some early signs of dementia. So Wukong sole him a peach.”
"A peach? Can't imagine how tasty it must've been....well I guess if it's what they both wanted...although I don't envy him."

“Oh really? Your dad isn’t going to be happy about that.”
Shaking her head as she grasped her daughter’s hand, the older woman gave her daughter a smile.
“No no….You don’t have to be sorry. How about instead we both work towards figuring out how exactly we can rid our minds of these plaguing thoughts?”
Wendy smiled back before looking thoughtful. “… Last time I visited Andy she said the cards were recommending a Buddhist practice for clearing the mind… I can’t remember the whole name.. just that is was something /Monkey/.” Her smile turned into a grin.
Snickering at her friends recommendation, Whitney cupped her cheek with her hand as she rested her elbow on the table. Of course she would recommend such a thing...
"That doesn't sound quite bad. I can't say I'll find nirvana but perhaps it may indeed help us. I think we both know who she was talking about though."
"The managers a vampire. He wanted me to join his legion of the undead."

Wendy closed her eyes. “Thank you. You know I think I’ve decided what I’m going to do about her.” The her in question being the doctor. Wendy never named her anymore, barely ever spoke of her actually.
Whitney was about to pick up her teacup but set it down again with a slight rattle of porcelain. Oh boy….
“I…what is the plan?”
“It’s sort of simple. She has her father as a stuffed corpse in her office and I’m her only living relitive. It really wouldn’t be that hard for me to-” A chuckle forced it’s way out of Wendy’s lips, sounding choked despite her lazy smile. “To have her locked away in a mental hospital.” Honestly Wendy seemed far too calm for this talk.
Giving an awkward chuckle, she nodded as she examined her daughter. This….seemed odd.
“That actually sounds like it could do the trick. Perhaps even help her get better….Wendy are you alright?”
She opened her eyes to stare emptiedly at her mother. “……… No.”
Glad that her other hand was below the table, Whitney could feel it begin to shake. Trying her best to take in a deep breathe, She nodded at her daughters response.
“What can I do to help you?”
Wendy gave a sigh, sat up straighter and gave a motion like she would be crossing her arms if possible. “…… I don’t know. I’ve just been feeling really lost. I can’t stop thinking about her. I’ll be doing something I like and her words will pop into my head… I feel like I’m obsessing over her, but I don’t know how to define myself without what I went threw and it feels like it’s choking me.”
Casting her eyes down, Whitney swallowed the forming lump in her throat. Bringing her hands together to stop them from fidgeting, she looked up with a solemn smile.
"I...I think I know just what you're feeling. I had the same problem with my father but....never quite got around to being able to forget about everything that happened....it really is troubling and difficult."
"The managers a vampire. He wanted me to join his legion of the undead."

“Oh, boo!” Wendy stuck her tongue out a moment. “I’m in no way dead.”
Giggling at her response, the older woman smiled at her daughter.
“Maybe not but if you’re not kidding about him being a vampire you might want to be careful. And. Y that I mean you can either tell your father or if the guy is nice then just avoid the subject with him.”
Wendy giggled with her. “I think I’m going to tell Dad. You know I normally don’t rat people out to him, but I wasn’t exaggerating when I said legion.” She was fiddling with her pack, distractedly looking for something.
“I can’t imagine how scary it’s going to be dismantling that…oh I worry too much. He can handle those kinds of things…..sometimes.”
Her eyes drifted down to the bag she was searching through as she took a sip of tea. Looking up and gazing around the cafe, Whitney smiled softly.
“Forget something at home?”
“No, no, I it’s in here.” After struggling with a button one handedly, but Wendy was able to get into one of the outer pockets. She pulled out a small box. “I missed your birthday.” Inside was a par of silver pins, an arrow and a bow, held together by a chain.
“Ohhhh no no no! You shouldn’t have!”
Reaching out and taking the box into her hand, Whitney grinned, a hand on her cheek as she blushed.
“Okay maybe…ohh Wendy thank you so much. This means so much to me.”
Removing the pins from the box, she pinned the arrow to one side of her collar and the bow to the other side.
“It suits you.” Wendy leaned her elbow on the table and placed her face in her hand, smiling in a lazy manner. “….. I’m sorry I miss so much.”
Waving her hand dismissively, she reached out and tucked a lock of Wendy's hair behind her ear.
"Don't worry about it. Your father and brother have grown to understand that you have things you've need to do. I understand now more than I did before."
