Whitney on the other hand seemed more...excited about what was going on. "Oh my gosh you're a faunus? A squirel faunus, I don't think I've ever met one before! How much can you move your tail? Is it hard keeping the fur Caen? Can you do that cheek pouch thing?"
VERY more excited, looking up at Nora with open interest and curiosity on her face. If this were an anime, she'd probably have eye sparkles or something at this point.

She would need practice regardless.
Whitney at this point stepped out of the closet. "Library? .....darn it! Dorms again?" She then turns around and is rather puzzled. "How did I wind up in a closet from the cafeteria? Or was it the gymnasium?" Realizing that she was somehow more lost than usual Whitney turned around and froze, staring at Nora.

"You can fly?" Whitney asked in amazement. Oh sure he had wings, but flying was a whol new level of what.
Once he reached above the rooftops of the surrounding buildings his navigation started to clear up. He could feel his dorm room window, unlocked and clear across campus, not too far away. Upon landing the question alone deserved a bit of sass, Cigno couldn’t really help it.
"No, they’re just for show, Whitney." He smirked a little.
"You're my partner for the next four years, so a little advice?" Whitney says, smiling pleasantly. "Don't sass somebody who uses rocket powered melee weaponry when you're in punching range and as much of a lightweight as you are." She continues to smile sweetly throughout this declaration, keeping a sugary tone that never wavered in the least.
"And on that note, first free period we get tomorrow you're hitting the gym." she suddenly decided, grabbing him in a slightly crushing one armed bear hug, though she seemed oblivious to the discomfort she was causing. "By the time I'm done with you, you'll be able to at least bench your own weight. It's a good starting point for when the real training starts."

Cigno stopped jogging and crossed his arms, shaking his head again. “I do trust you. But….I guess being a faunus was just something I never had to tell anyone. I grew up in a community full of fauna, so we’re just used to each other. And what did you expect me to do? Just whip my shirt off to show you my wings? If I had rabbit ears or something I wouldn’t have hid them, but I don’t. Just these, sorry.” He wasn’t mad, just feeling a little victimized.
"No I wasn't expecting you to rip off your shirt, but you could have, I don't know, said something like 'oh by the way, I'm a Faunus, fill you in later' or something. I guess. I....sorry, I guess I overreacted." she says looking down. Then her head snaps back up and she starts flailing her arms in panic. "Not about you being a Faunus and all cause that's cool and there is nothing wrong with that! I meant the whole secret thing. As in keeping it a secret in the first place, not what the secret turned out to be!"
At this point, she was basically doing her best to not sound like a horrible person. 'Argh! This talking to people thing is harder than it looks! Why can't it be easy like rocket trajectory calculations?'
I for one am looking forward to Cardin's horrific wasp injuries. How about you?
I’m 100% convinced that in the next episode, Cardin is going to fall down that cliff and we’ll hear a THUD and then— “OH GOD I THINK I BROKE MY LEGS”
the camera will pan to Nora and she will have the most brazen, bloodthirstiest grin
And then the box of wasps will fall off the cliff and onto him. And he can't escape due to his broken legs.

"Ohhhh. All the time. One time ,in class I had a daydream about Ren and I going on adventures! Jaune and Prryha were there too!"
"Well they can at least they can be proper about it. I mean my partners a boy and he is a gentleman about it." she complained. Sure Cigno was a bit of a wimp, but he was a nice wimp darn it! 'Note to self, get to work on trying to get him to bulk up a bit again.' “And anyway just because you’re doing laundry doesn’t give you the right to just pile it in the room; that’s unsanitary and…Ren wears what?” she asked, her brain derailing a bit.
"The pink ones!" Nora says it like it is the most obvious thing in the world,then like it is the most normal thing in the world,picks up said pink underwear. "See? They have his name in the waistband! They used to be white. But…I uhh.. accidentally left one of my socks in the washer. My red sock." Giggling,she tosses the underwear onto Ren’s bed. "Let’s eat! I’ll throw a blanket over the underwear so you can’t see them,if you like!"
"Yeah that, that would work fine thanks." she said, still blushing slightly. Waiting a minute for Nora to cover the offending items, Whotney re-entered the room and gave it a more serious look. "I'm guessing yours is the one with the pink bed spread and stuffed animals...is that a sloth?"

Whitney hesitated for a moment, before knocking quietly on the door. "Um, Proffesor Port?" she asked nervously. Oh sure there could be a non-bad reason that he called her to his office after classes were done for the day to 'discuss her paper', the one on Beowulf habits that she had literally thrown together at two in the morning on an energy drink binge. It also didn't help her confidence that she was in her uniform instead of armor. Not that she was expecting a fight, it just let her feel safe
The professor looked over to the door at the sound of the knocking. “Oh! Yes, come right in. I’ve been expecting you,” he said, rising from his seat. “I was just thinking of where you were going to appear.”
"Where? Don’t you mean when Professor?" she asked, held tilted slightly in confusion. Unless he had told her to come somewhere else besides his office and she had messed up somehow and had remembered wrong and now he’d be mad at her and she’d get a horrible grade maybe even get expelled her life is over and everything is ruined and… She closes her eyes for a couple of seconds and takes a couple deep breaths to fight down the start of her most recent panic attack. “Um, right, so you said you wished to see me?”
"Ah, yes, when. My mistake," he said. "A simple slip of the tongue." He smiled at her, walking back behind his desk. "Yes, I did wish to see you. It is about your paper I had assigned."
Whitney stood there rigidly with a strained smile on her face. "Really? What about it?" As nervous as she looked on the outside, she was fully panicking on the inside. And as usual for her panic attacks, her mind went to odd places...
'Don't look him in the eyes...does he even open his eyes? Is his perception so good he can track me without looking? Think about something else. Ummm, his mustache...bad idea! Does he even have a mouth under that thing? I've only ever seen the mustache move. No eyes, no mouth, moving mustache, is my teacher a robot? Oh God I'm going to be chewed out on my paper by my robot hunter professor.'

Giving a nod Whitney walks in….and almost imediatly turns around and walks back out blushing furiously. “Nora…why is there a pile of boys underwear in the middle of the floor?” This was certainly unexpected, and she hoped Nora didn’t have an answer and was just as surprised at such an odd thing happening…well or at least didn’t know about it before now. Honestly, it seemed like nothing ever phased her, which was charming, a bit calming, and a bit disturbing in its own way. It was quickly becoming clear to Whitney that there was more to Nora than a somewhat hyper girl.
Nora of course knows the answer. In fact, if Whitney looks closer she’ll see a pair of frilly girly underwear in the other corner. But as the petite redhead observes the other girl’s distress ,she decides to just enjoy this glorious moment of amusement.
"They are Jaune’s and Ren’s probably, Thank pink pair is Ren’s ,I know." She says it so simply and calmly, grinning wider. "It’s laundry day! And y’know my team is half boys!"

Whitney blinked. She was criticizing the names of fictional things in her metaphors? Wait, was this small talk? “Um, okay then. The Palace of Infinate Horrers? Ruled by the Nighmare King, Lord of Fear Itself, whose dungeon is known as The Dark Realm of Unending Doom? Is that better?” Quite honestly, she wasn’t sure whether she was supposed to take the comments seriously or not, but it couldn’t hurt to come up with something cooler for the names. Plus, they could always be used again if she used this metaphors later.
Nora looks fiercely serious. But her amusement is thinly veiled. “Very good! Very colorful and descriptive. It’s much better! It is alot more fun to come up with great names. Then everyone gets really awed when you tell a super awesome story with like the most bestest names.” They have reached Nora’s dorm by then. The redhead whips back around to the front to open her door,motioning Whitney inside.
