I'm going to swap everything out so the white diagonal starts top left and goes towards bottom right, but even with that change I'm not sure I'll be satisfied. Probably gonna have to tweak a few other placements here and there.
After many trials and tribulations, some related to the project and some not, the July block is done. I am optimistic about being able to stay caught up on these once the weather cools down and yard work / outdoor activities are at a minimum.
Made some more progress yesterday picking out book strips for the next blocks. We're going to pick up a few more fat quarters, and the fabrics for the applique bits when we do some shop hopping next month.
My current color pallette. I am loving working with these gorgeous greens.
One should always have at least 2 craft projects going. That way, when one of them is messed up and misbehaving, you can switch to another, and let the first one sit there and think about what it's done.

Sometimes just not even beginning to explain your gender is more fun. Like yeah I have pronouns. Not saying which ones
It's not about passing. "Passing" isn't even possible for what I have going on. I just stopped giving a fuck
If you mistake me for cisgender that's not my problem
I finished a quilt top today, and then literally 15 minutes later I spilled coffee on it. Also got coffee on a row of a different quilt, and a bunch of leftover background fabric.
Fortunately, the finished quilt top only got 2 tiny spots, and the stains seem like they're coming out with treatment, but UGH.
Lessons learned: don't carry a bag of sewing projects on the same arm as the coffee thermos. Also get something more protective to carry my sewing projects in...fortunately one of the ladies at the sewing guild had a recommendation 😀
I just finished one pretty large project and am in the middle of another, so I felt the need for something quick and easy. Just a few hearts on a bookmark. The pattern is in this google drive for anyone who wants it.
If you do make one of these and feel like sharing your work, I'd love to see it!
worried that squirrels were eating all the birdseed, so we set up a camera
i do not think that is a squirrel
